Great Location

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Friendly front Desk Staff
Cons: D├ęcor especially on our floor very dark old wallpaper in hallways
Location: Excellent Location for On Off Buses, Broadway , Central Park, Restaurants, interesting market not far away.
This hotel is so handy to great restaurants and bars, Central Park and theatres. Lovely to be able to walk such a short distance to Broadway.

Minutes from Times Square.

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The location.
Cons: Some staff did not treat us well. No smile, no politeness, I did not feel welcome and Room cleanliness.
Location: Location is great, very close to Times Square.
I called the hotel several weeks prior to arriving requesting a refridgerator. Upon my arrival, the hotel clerk advised me that it one would be provided. The following day, still no fridge and I followed up again. Same answer, one will be provided. On the third day they assured me that one would be brought to my room. Well, this was not the case, when I questioned them again they advised they didn't have one for me. What upset me is that the hotel staff didn't bother to let me know. Also, room is very cramped, I was lucky to fit my luggage in the room. Room cleanliness should be improved the light switches were discusting.

Will definitely return!

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Noise between rooms/hallway
Location: Broadway theatres, Times Square, Shopping, Central Park, Restaurants, Parks, Waterfront, subway - everything within a 20 minute walk
My daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights at the end of July. Location is mere steps to Times Square and Broadway theatres and as we were mainly there to see Broadway shows it was perfect. Walking distance to everything, even Central Park. We had a room with 2 twin beds, the room was a bit dated, and the pictures of JFK and Jacquie were a bit odd, but we weren't there to spend time in our rooms, so it suited us fine. My only concern would be that the walls were very thin. We had no neighbours for our first 3 nights but could here people chatting next door very clearly on our last 2 nights. They weren't loud and were quiet during the night so we were lucky that way. All in all, as its a less expensive option in the heart of the action, we didn't expect luxury and didn't get it. Its a great hotel, location and beds were super comfortable. We will definitely stay here again when we return to NYC, which we hope will be soon!

Cons: Try to make certain your toilets do not overflow into the room.
Location: Great
The toilet overflowed into the room.(#1029) The Hotel said tough luck there are no available rooms. Next morning (7/31) desk clerk offered 3 comp breakfasts and then we discovered we were charged $25! Great location but Gen Manager needs to give front desk staff more authority when a guest stay is made unihabitable due to hotel.

Close to theatres

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Not much, some staff attempted to assist. Location is good.
Cons: Service, quicker response to lift repairs, improve breakfast quality, breakfast venue & staff service.
Location: Location is central & good access to subway & theatres.
One lift of 3 constantly out of service resulting in long delays and constant use of the stairs for access/ egress, free WI FI was practically non existent in room which was unacceptable, breakfast was poor, breakfast dinning room was inadequate, breakfast room staff were not up to a reasonable standard, long delays for service at front desk, dissapointing result for a Best Western franchise.

Theatre Weekend

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Location, room size, friendliness of staff, pretty much everything.
Cons: One elevator had a problem over the weekend so wait times were higher than normal.
Location: It's next to one theatre and across the street from another. It's a very short walk to TKTS in Times Square. Two blocks to Restaurant Row.
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. Again it filled all my needs in a great way. Check-in was fast and efficient and was no problem a couple hours earlier than the 3 pm check in time. The room was spacious and one of the largest I've had in NY at any price. It included a compact tub and small closet. Flat screen TV and coffee maker rounded out the amenities. It is in the heart of the theater district which is perfect for me. High speed internet was high speed and mostly reliable.

Central to Times Square, but limited room

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Times Square
Cons: Rooms are a little tired
No major problems, toilet needed repair. It was a two single bed room, not enough space to work in. No desk or table. Very tight. Keep in mind, that you will not be there to work....just play...so go outside!
