An apartment with advantages of a hotelPosted May 14, 2012
Pros: Marverlous view and location. Facilities and helpful staff.
Cons: Addition of taxes.
Location: Few blocks on same street as Empire State building. Three blocks from Penn NY Station. Next to Kosher Deli and restaurants.
This an appartment not a hotel, so the room is not attended daily. You will have to tidy your own bed each morning. House keeping is once a week. There were sufficient towels for me to take a clean one when needed. The apartment had a bedroom with large double bed and a en suit toilet and wash basin. There was another room off the hall with a toilet wash basin and shower - good for a family. The kitchen had crockery and cutlery for 4 with everything you would need to prepare and eat meals if required. There was a dishwasher and dishwashing powder supplied. Also a washing machine and seperate dryer with washing powder provided. There was a coffee perculator and a 4 cup coffee bag provided with creamers and sweeteners. A bottle of water awaited me in the fridge. There was someone on duty 24 / 7 in the entrance which was on 34 St East a few blocks walk from Penn NY Station so easy to get to from the airport by a $12.50 train ticket. TV in lounge and another in bedroom. Free local calls and internet access. Marverlous view from my lounge and bedroom of the NY skyline which included the Crysler building - stunning at night. One word of warning - the price quoted needs 14% added for the total taxes that have to be paid. Next door is a Dunkin Doughnut and other restaurants which are Kosher.
