"Nice hotel in the middle of time square."
My Expedia reservation was fast and easy. Once at the hotel staff was very corteous and friendly offer us free wi-fi due to system been slow. Is great hotel near heart of New York City, and great theater and restaurants, including Serafina's right downstairs.

"Nice Hotel close to the sights"
Very enjoyable stay except for a nightclub nearby at weekends which could be heard on the 4th floor. Rooms though are nice and modern in this art deco hotel which has lots of character. Lobby and bar area was a hive of activity and over Memorial weekend there was live entertainment. Wouldn't recommend breakfast though in the attached Raffles eatery unless you like pricey American high calorie breakfasts.

Generally, the hotel was nice. However, the lighting in the room was terrible-very dark. Not a problem for most people. Sleeping was an uncomfortable experience- the air con would come on and it would be freezing then shut off and it would become extremely hot. Covers would be off and on all night and so I didn't get a good sleep the entire time. Staff was really nice and helpful though.

"Harlem Native Approved"
I'm originally from Harlem, but moved for work. When I return I generally stay with friends or family or in downtown Manhattan. I was attending a weekend workshop at Columbia University so I stayed in a Harlem at the Aloft. I enjoyed myself immensely! The room was just the right size. The desk was perfect for getting my workshop materials organized. The noise level was very low considering it was near a very busy area on a holiday weekend. And the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There were also some delicious snacks available 24/7, which came in handy on late nights. I also appreciated that the fitness center was open 24/7, clean, had free water, and a variety of cardio machines for use. I didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of the lounge in the lobby, but I did hear the great music and saw others enjoying themselves sitting by the bar. I would definitely stay again and plan to recommend to friends, family, and colleagues.
