Great location for a great price. The staff were friendly and helpful.
“Great Hotel”
This is a GREAT hotel to stay for the price. It was clean, friendly, and in walking distance to Time Square and Broadway. I love the kitchen admentities for your convience. I will stay here again for my next visit. A+++++
“Very Confortable Hotel - Excellent location”
Really good experience. Confortable room with all needed: Microwave, dishes, kitchen, desk, etc. Housekeeping is only once a week (what is not really clear in hotel description), but at the end it was still confortable. We have dish washer machine and towels/sheets can be asked to remplace if needed. We already knew this hotel don't include breakfast, however we were able to prepare it in our room which was really nice. Complimentary caffe service at snack mini-shoop was excelent (even for take-away... very appreciated due to cold winter). Location is excellent. We would really recommend this hotel.
“Not large, but _very_ good.”
We booked this hotel on a whim for my wife's birthday and a quick trip down from MA to NY for a show and an overnight stay. We took the LimoLiner bus (excellent service as well) from MA to the NY Hilton where it drops off. It's a bit of a walk to the Candlewood, but you could always take a cab. The weather was great, so we used the opportunity to explore on the way there. The room we had (606) was, like all of the hotel, rather newly renovated and spotless. The room is small, but we were only two, so it was fine. Shampoo and soap were provided and the wireless internet worked well at this room. The staff was very pleasant and check-in took all of two minutes with our Expedia booking. You are in the garment district, so expect working folks working, not lots of glitzy shops. Neither my wife or I felt uncomfortable anywhere along the route or int he neighborhood. You are very close to Times Square and walkable distance to Radio City. One of the biggest treats is 9th Street to the west for all of the blocks upon blocks of great inexpensive (in New York terms) eateries. If you have a meal in mind, you can find it there for one quarter of the price in Times Square area. A solid recommendation if you don't need room for four kids and your entourage!
“Comfortable hotel, very good value for money paid!”
I found this to be a very comfortable and pleasant hotel, with the front desk staff extremely friendly and cooperative. Rooms are very comfortable and good sized, and contain all required amenities such as a coffee maker, iron, ironing board, etc. Also included are a flat screen HD TV, microwave, fridge and an ice-maker. The hotel is very centrally located, and is close walking distance to Times Square. Sheets are changed once a week, but new sheets and towels can be obtained from the reception desk, as required. The front desk staff are very friendly and cooperative. It gives very good value for its room rates. I strongly recommend it, and will certainly stay in it during my next visit to New York City.
“Very Convenient & Safe”
The hotel had only been open for a week when I checked in so everything was still new. Check-in & check-out was fast and easy. The room included a kitchenette. If you wanted your room cleaned or new towels, you must request it, because that service is provided only on a weekly basis. There wasn't a business center, but the hotels on either side had one. A DVD player was located in the room as a perk. I would stay here again because it is walking distance to Times Square and the Fashion District.
“Great price for the location!”
The Candlewood Suites is a great location. From the airport we took a airtran and subway and got off just one block away. It's only a couple blocks to Time Square. The staff was very friendly. There is no maid service so your bed wont get made but who cares! Just ask at the front desk for extra towels and your all set. There was a fridge and micro to keep that extra food or beverages handy. Would definitelly stay again!
“Loved it at Candlewood Suites”
The staff was wonderful, especially front desk Mohammad. He remembered my name and always greeted me by my name. When asked for extra towels and linen they were at my door in 2 minutes! So awesome. Especially first time visiting New York. I will definitely stay there again!
“We will be booking again”
This place was exactly what we were looking for. It is in a decent area, the room was very clean. Had amenities galore. Our room had it's own little kitchen with fridge, stove, dishwasher, toaster, all types of pans, dishes, ironing board, sweet flat panel tv. You couldn't go wrong with the cost per location for this place. I will defiantly come back to here. The room was small but we kinda expected that coming down to the city. The area is kinda slightly not the best area to be walking by yourself at night. But, it beats paying twice as much 2 blocks up... So if you're looking for a good price, nice hotel, lots of amenities. Pick this hotel! ohh, and there's no breakfast in the hotel but if you go one block up starbucks is right on the corner. easy to go grab a cup and go back to your room,
