Majority of the rooms are shared baths. Most hostels/hotels were like this back in the day but were converted to suit more demanding needs. There are sinks in every room.

No phones or television! Sitting outside in NYC is much better than TV. We have very fast internet now for people who cannot disconnect from the interwebs!
