Four Nights at the Casablanca Hotel NYC

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location. Ambience. Service. 24x7 buffet. 5.00pm to 8.00pm pre-dinner drinks and nibbles FREE....
Cons: This hotel has true 'old world charm' and we don't think there is anything that could be improved. Changes may have the opposite effect?
Location: Times Sq is 50 yards from hotel. Walk to Central Park and/or Theatres Take subway to Century21
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were impressed with the level of service and and the staff's attitude towards us and all the other guests. This is not the largest hotel in New York and the rooms (all 48 of them) are not the largest you will stay in. However, the whole place is spotlessly clean, the quality of the fittings is excellent and everything works.... It's location, 50 yards from Broadway, means it will never be the quietest hotel in New York but it's location is the very reason most people stay there. If you get chance you must visit Tony's (the Italian restaurant next door) but reservations are essential. Don't make full use of the free pre-dinner nibbles, the portions are huge..... The door from the hotel lobby into Tony's is very handy and gets you around the poor unfortunates queuing for a table because the didn't make reservations.

Amazing hotel

Posted Apr 2, 2014
An ideal location right in time square but without the noise. Staff were really friendly and happy to help with everything. The 24hour tea, coffee, fruit and cheese self service was wonderful and the breakfast was amazing. We loved our stay here. Only down side was the pipes banged a lot when hot water was being used but was not constant. The petite room bed was small especially as I'm 6foot but it was really comfy and your head melts into the soft pillows. If I went to New York I would def stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay x

Location, location, location - E X C E L L E N T

Pros: Location, location, location! Friendly/welcoming staff. Cleanliness Best of quality continental breakfast to start the day off.
Cons: Nothing major - Location of safe - I'm not very tall and had problems reaching into it More higher tables in lounge to have breakfast on
Location: Right on Times Square - close to theatres, restaurants, bars , shops, 'cheap' theatre ticket box - perfect location.
The hotel is in a excellent location for anyone visiting New York. After the fab hustle and bustle of the city that doesn't sleep, it was a perfect hotel that offered peace and tranquillity. Beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Room we had didn't have a view but I felt this was an advantage as it was extremely quiet. My sister and I didn't spend much time in it, only to sleep. Dressing gown and slippers supplied for those wishing to relax. Safe in room was an advantage. All staff were extremely pleasant - nothing was a bother to them. We were made to feel extremely welcome. Continental breakfast was of high quality, everything was extremely fresh. As well as this there were drinks and lovely home made biscuits etc available 24/7 and if you wished to relax on a evening wine and cheese and biscuits were available - all free of charge.

Great location, an oasis in Times Square

Posted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: Location, style, atmosphere, comfort
Cons: View from the window was not there, just back stairs behind a big thick blind. Not really a problem and nothing that can be fixed, so not a minus
Location: Birldland jazz club within two blocks and was recommended. Monday night is open cast mike night and you get broadway singer quality
Very welcomed, enjoyed the wine and cheese from 5pm to 8pm, room was delightful, atmosphere spot on with lots of Casablanca themed touches. Nothing was too much trouble, they even charged my ipad for me on the last day when they stored my luggage prior to leaving. Chocolates on the pillows and the bed was like something out of the Princess and the Pea... minus the pea. Would come again.

Central position for all attractions

Posted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: All the above! And the location, just off Times Square, made it easy to reach most central Manhattan locations by foot, and to find taxis.
Location: Manhattan - see any guide to New York!
Very helpful, friendly staff. Comfortable, warm ambiance, and the Moroccan themed decor worked really well. The lounge/breakfast room was especially good, with coffee/tea/water and nibbles/fruit available 24 hours, and with comfortable seating and books/newspapers. From 5-7pm each day, complimentary wine and cheese was offered, a good occasion to relax after the day's sightseeing before tackling the evening! Spacious bedroom and large bathroom, cleaned spotless each day.

Excellent hotel a stone's throw from Times Square

Posted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: Everything
Location: Brilliant midtown location a few seconds from Times Square and within walking distance to all midtown attractions.
We've been to New York on several occasions and have got to say this is the best hotel we've stayed in. Can't fault anything about it other than we had to leave and go home! All the staff are welcoming and the hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. You get an excellent complimentary continental breakfast in Rick's Cafe each morning and complimentary tea and coffee 24/7 which is a nice touch. They also offer wine and cheese in the evenings but didn't sample this as was busy exploring NYC. The rooms are really nice and again spotlessly clean. You also get complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel which again is excellent if you travel with a laptop or tablet. Would definitely stay again if we go back to NYC and would recommend it to anyone else going to the Big Apple.

Courteous host, very clean hotel and comfortable tea room. The room was very small, but we spent most of our time out in the city.

Not fancy but fabulous and quiet

Posted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: Everything is lovely at this hotel it is not the fanciest but they care
Cons: Coffee machines in the rooms and coke at happy hour
Location: Perfect central location and quiet
New York is very noisy at night. Here you are central, wonderful service, free breakfast, free wine time in the evening, free wi fi , good size rooms ,kind helpful device, what is not to like? It is also near a great little hair salon, 10 mins by cab, salon amici, best hair do I have ever had and the concierge had cards with a discount. Perfect as we had a wedding.
