Great hotel in fantastic location.Posted Nov 22, 2014
Pros: The staff and the fact it was 'old fashioned' but in a good way.
Cons: Squeaky floor boards, but it just added to the lovely ambiance of the hotel.
Location: It's right at Times Square so everything on your doorstep.
Stayed for 4 nights during the recent cold snap. Hotel was was warm and extremely welcoming. The staff were absolutely brilliant. We had a premier room at the back of the hotel and it was the quietest room I've ever stayed in in NYC. Riks cafe is open 24hrs for teas, coffees etc and the nightly wine and cheese is a great idea. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for good old fashioned hospitality.

Comfortable hotel a step from Times SquarePosted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Service and position
Cons: Slightly updated. Carpets slightly old.
Location: Great for walking around Times Square. A good walk to Grand Central , Macys and to MOMA
An oasis of calm and quiet. A step from Times Square. Extremely accommodating with great service at reception and in the lounge for breakfast and evening drinks with nibbles. Enjoyable five night stay.

A boutique hotel within 100 feet of Times Square. The morning breakfasts were varied and delicious. The 5:00 to 7:30 wine and Cheese complementary presentation was an unexpected pleasure! We stayed 4 nights and were very satisfied!

Brilliant location for midtownPosted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Staff. Location. Breakfast
Cons: Get a bar or some sort of facility to get drink easily
Location: Time Square. Central Park. Empire State. Broadway shows. Rockerfeller. Grand Central Station all easy walking distance. Direct tube to downtown.
Great location right off Time Square. Easy walk to Central Park, Bryant Park, Broadway theatres. Room was a bit dingy. Only natural light came off a light well so try to make sure your room has better windows if possible...but you probably won't spend much time in your room! No bar at the hotel which if you like a tuple could be a nuisance. Otherwise is is highly recommended

OasisPosted Nov 15, 2014
Great location, great staff, and, yes, an oasis from the hubbub of Times square. Breakfast and wine and cheese in the library was a very nice touch, and the service was exceptional!

Excellent LocationPosted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable, relaxing and informal
Cons: Noise from extractors outside, annoying, resolve and our stay would be perfect.
Location: Location excellent for all attractions
We found the Hotel very nice, all the staff did there best to provide us with a comfortable stay. The complimentary coffee and biscuits/cakes were always fresh and tasty. The cheese and wine selection was very good and never lacking in amount or availability. Breakfast gave us a good start to our day and really we could not fault any of the refreshments. The location of the hotel was excellent for our first visit to New York we could see Times square from the pavement outside, walk to Rockerfeller centre, Empire State building and Madame Tousards . Many eating places are close by and so are the theatres.

Boutique Hotel close to Times SquarePosted Nov 9, 2014
Pros: Most things, can't really fault much.
Cons: The only negative was noise outside the hotel opposite, better double glazing would cure this minor point.
Location: Times Square, close to Broadway. Empire State building and Macys a short walk away. Subway station not far away.
Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, great location, continental breakfast included with complimentary hot drinks, fruit and pastries throughout the day. There are also free drinks available from 5-8 pm each evening. What more can I say, highly recommended.

Cons: The air conditioning in our room was a bit noisy at times.
Location: Central to Times Square. Easy to access the subway system so all of New York at your feet.
We loved this hotel. It was very relaxing, offered excellent complimentary services and the staff were all polite, friendly and helpful.

Noisy but nicePosted Nov 5, 2014
Pros: Location, location
Cons: As above - double glazing
Location: access to most things of interest in and around Times Square
We had a room to the front of the hotel, and as many other guests have written previously double glazing would be most desirable. The noise level during the night are extreme. Otherwise everything else about the hotel is very good.

An oasis of calm 30 seconds from the madness of Times Square. Brilliant hotel, fantastic staff. Quality continental breakfast, fresh coffee all day, free cheese and wine reception every afternoon. Amazing location. It's all great!
