Excellent location...small European-style rooms.

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Location and professional but low key staff.
Cons: Bring back the cold bottled water on each floor. Speed up the elevator . Exhaust vent in the bathroom
Location: It's quiet but only a a five minute walk to Times Square and subways, 15 minutes to MOMA, and easy to find cabs at the door. What else do you need?
As usual (many visits) rooms were ready, clean, and adequate size for sleeping. Why go to Manhattan to sit in a hotel room? Nice sitting room, and bar for afte- hours or pre-departure. New addition is Patrick's restaurant, where the old boring breakfast room sat. It's excellent for breakfasts, with a wide variety of egg and other dishes as well as "standard" eggs and toast and cereal. Also serving dinner and pre-theater menus. Staff, as usual, is experienced and helpful (directions, city life) without being obsequious or otherwise overly attentive. We have stayed here whenever in NYC for business or for entertainment (theater and museums)

Great location and room for the price

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, room size
I am a repeat guest. The rooms are all different which is nice. The staff is over the top friendly and helpful which keeps me coming back. Only downside this trip was that the bathroom had a pocket door which didn't allow for a lot of privacy. I'd recommend to anyone.

Nice hotel close "everywhere"

Excellent location and relationship cost/benefits. The rooms are small, but in that range of price, they all are. Muy buena ubicación a metros de time square, parada de suite, etc. Cuartos pequeños, pero habitables. Además, en el rango de precio... todos lo son.

It is a NYC Hotel

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Affordable, mostly clean. Free Wi-Fi. Bedding better than most.
Cons: Elevators are small and sloowww. Rooms are small, but you can't improve that. We were in the room very little.
Location: Depends on where you want to be in NYC.
Overall, I would return to this location. However, I might ask for a room on an upper level floor for a window I can see out of. Ours, on the 3rd floor was opaque. Probably because we would see an airs haft or brick wall. The room was a little musty. The staff was helpful and courteous. Breakfast in the dining room was expensive, even by NY standards. The bill resembled room service with auto 18% gratuity and extra fee. We felt safe, comfortable and were in walking distance of Grand Central and the Broadway Theatre.

Value for Money; Great Location

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: The location. It's a block and a half from Times Square and within walking distance of many of the theatres.
Cons: The lounge is small, so the bar stock is a bit limited. We had to compromise on some drinks.

My wife and I stayed three nights, the second time we've stayed at this hotel. The rooms are not spacious but they're functional and adequate for our needs, i.e., a place to sleep and get ready before spending the day enjoying New York.
