Great hotel with great views.

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Love the fact that you can get free bottles of water at any time and there is a place to wash clothes if needed.
Location: Walk across the street to Battery park and stroll or run along the Hudson River. The tree filled areas are just beautiful. Essex world has great food.
My family and I stayed in a suite on the 19th floor for 3 nights. The views were great and the room was comfortable and clean. There is a good bit of construction and a fire station next to the hotel but you can hardly hear anything outside. We all agree that we want to stay there again.

Room is narrow, more like a cruise ship than a hotel

Club Quarters is an Affordable NYC Gem

Posted Oct 5, 2014
I loved the location of the hotel, close to the West Village and overlooking the 9/11 Memorial. As a single traveler the area and hotel felt completely safe. My room was attractive, comfortable, and the perfect size with all the amenities I needed without asking. Buffet breakfast on the roof top restaurant was wonderful. All the staff I met were pleasant and helpful. For under $300 a night in NYC, this hotel is a real steal.

Very nice hotel near the World Trade Center.

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms were small, but we didn't spend much time in them.
Location: Right near the World Trade Center, O'Hara's Pub, the 9/11 Museam and Memorial.
There is a wonderful terrace on the 20th floor over looking the memorial pool.

Very nice hotel Downtown Hotel.

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Clean and modern. Nice lounge area with a TV and several computers (2 PC's and 1 Mac). Great views from the 20th floor. Pretty good restaurant.
Cons: The free coffee in the 1st Floor Lounge is appalling. The machine spits out 3/4 cup of hot water, then dribbles in some brown syrup. Disgusting.
Part of a group of friends visiting NYC for 3 days and 2 nights. Great location - facing the World Trade Center Memorial (still under construction). Near Wall Street, which is nice and relatively quiet on the weekends. Good subway access -- 20 minutes to Times Sq and Broadway.
