“Pleasant stay, good price.”
A newish hotel right next to Manhattan Bridge (to Brooklyn) and walking distance to Canal Street. The room was clean and quiet, the service was friendly, the breakfast adequate, and the internet free. You can park for free on the street overnight close to the hotel.
“Nice standard, conveniently located for bus travelers”
I was positively surprised with this Hotel. Even though the neighborhood leave a lot to be desired, the Hotel itself is a nice quiet oasis where you can rest and head out in the morning again. It's a few blocks from Canal Street with many Metro lines and just around the corner from the spot where buses to Boston leave from. I could leave my bag and then pick it up just before my departure. Nice service, variety of goodies for breakfast and intimate atmosphere. I will come back :)
“Not impresssed - terrible customer service”
The hotel was not very conveniently located and the customer service was terrible. I left a work portfolio in our room. I had to schedule a UPS pick-up, instead of being allowed to give my credit card number to the hotel to have them ship it back to me. That was 2 weeks ago, and I still have not received my portfolio back. I will certainly never use this hotel again.
“Amazing price for the location”
The location is unbeatable and the price far below what I expected. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and you get a decent continental breakfast, too. The rooms are somewhat small, but given the price and location, it'snot a problem. I expect to stay here again.
“NewYorkHotel”
Lovely jewel of a hotel, hidden in Chinatown. Large, very clean room with large bathroom, very comfortable bed, almsot soundproof! Everyone very nice and efficient. Housecleaning staff very accomodating. Good breakfast with tasty waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, boiled eggs, muffins and toast, and gourmet coffee 24 hours a day in lobby. Two nice computers to use at your will. I had no trouble finding them available for copies when I needed them. Staff very professional, and authentic. I felt very safe. Great hotel!
“Great service, located in downtown Manhattan”
Highly satisfying stay. The hotel isn't in the most central (tourist/business) part of Manhattan, but is only a 5 minute walk to the Subway and then a 10 minute ride to the main attractions. Service was perfect. The only gripe we had was with the taxi service which the hotel recommended and rang for. The driver who turned up spoke hardly any English, and didn't know the destination we required - "The Rockefeller Center". Just about the tallest and best known building in New York with a world famous Christmas tree and Ice Rink, but our driver had never heard of it and didn't know where it was. He eventually found it after liaising with his base, and then charged us an extortionate rate for his ridiculously long route to it. Our cautionary note to future guests is to make sure your taxi driver knows where he's going before he agrees to take you there! Not sure I can really blame the hotel for this blemish on our stay, but I think it's worth pointing out if it helps others from suffering the same misfortune. We noted that there was a nearby Yellow Cab taxi-rank outside the East Broadway Subway Station, just 5 minutes walk away. Far more reasonable rates and reliable drivers. The hotel is situated in the 'Chinatown' area, close to a lively shopping area.
“Quality and Comfort - Nice price!”
Clean, well maintained, close to Little Italy, Soho, Chinatown. Staff was friendly. Free breakfast was nice - hotel rooms were clean and comfy. Would return.
“Comfortable stay at a very convenient location”
- The hotel was new, clean and in good condition. The room was a bit small but clean and comfortable. The view from our room in 8th floor was very nice, looking over the Manhattan Bridge. - The walls in the rooms are thin, so you may hear noise from near rooms if you have noisy neibours. - Breakfast was fine, a nice kick for an adventurous day at NYC. - Location: Very convenient. Walking distance from many interesting sites like Lower Manhattan, SOHO, Brooklyn Bridge etc. Also very close to many subway lines. The surrounding neibourhood (Chinatown) was full of little grocery and chinese stores. Overall, we had a very nice stay and we definatelly recommend this hotel.
“Comfort Inn in China Town should improve.”
Comfort Inn Manhattan Bridge is in China Town and not in Little Italy. Breakfast is served in a tiny room, lots of people waiting for their time. Room service is frequently too late in the afternoon. The hotel should be named Comfort Inn in China town, not at Manhattan Bridge.
“Very happy”
Clean and cozy, wonderful view, good service. And it's cheap too!
