Location-location-location

Pros: The location was superb for subway commuting, restaurants and walking distance to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
Cons: The slight smell of moth balls in the hallway which lingered into the room.
Location: 9/11 Memorial is within walking distance. The subway is steps outside your door. Little Italy and China town are a few minute walk.
The blue line and red line are right outside the doors. Not to mention a Starbucks right outside the door as well. The room is very comfortable although there is a slight smell of moth balls in the hallway and a bit in the room and the room located on Chambers Street can be a little noisy. I would recommend asking for a room on the north side of the building. I would definitely stay here again due to the location and the staff.

Nice alternative to big brands

Free wifi in the age of expensive stays that charge for wifi is useful. Smaller scale to the density of Manhattan was nice. They should brag about the little spit of green space and mini park across the street. It helped me during arrival.

Had a great experience with staff!!!!

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: The room was clean and smelled great!!!
Cons: Faster elevator and quieter a/c units. Other than that nothing!!!!!
Location: The location is great as well! Train stop is right in front of the hotel. Great!!! Plenty of eateries and bars.
Wish I could remember the front desk attendant name who checked me in that day! She was great. Entire staff was great!!!!!!

Nice Hotel in an ideal downtown location

Posted Jun 3, 2014
A very good overall experience, I stayed in a loft style room with my girlfriend which was very tight for two in fairness however I would stay in a normal double room here again as I found the staff very helpful. The hotel is right beside Chambers St Subway for uptown trains & you can walk to the shopping district in Soho easily.

Good location, but too expensive.

Pros: The lobby was nice and the staff was friendly.
Cons: Cleaniness and upkeep of the furniture and facility.
Good location, but too expensive for the quality of the facility.

Not what i expect !

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: everything
Location: the subway is so close :)
- Too expensive for what you get - the tap water was brown and it gave me rash over my face :( - the room was too small for human being - the bellman was so nice but the front desk hung the phone up on me

comfortable, quiet boutique hotel in Tribeca

Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: The ambiance and especially the history through the photos that were displayed throughout.
Location: Starbucks and Le Quotidien close by for coffee and breakfast. Tribeca riverfront nearby as well as Tribeca restaurants. Lots of shops on W. Broadway
Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were pleasant and even upgraded our room. The room was large and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The halls were quiet. We especially liked the old photos throughout of the hotel and New York City. The subway entrance is just outside the door making travel easy. It is a two block walk to the Hudson River which was beautiful at night.
