Quiet!Posted Mar 6, 2014
This is truly the first hotel in NYC that I did not hear a siren, garbage truck or car horn. Small but functional rooms. Ideal location close to subway.

Pros: Please see above.

Couid not fault Distrikt Hotel... staff were great... very helpful with directions, places to go/see. Room was superb... ended up staying on 32nd floor... rooms are not massive but very stylish throughout. I think what makes Distrikt even better is location b/w 8th and 9th Ave...on West 40th. Hells Kitchen on doorstep, Times Sq / 42nd street, empire, rockafella, broadway all close by. also great access to main bus station (port authority) and subway. Beer authority on West 40th has great selection of beers ... even Hoff brau on draught!!... Quality stay. Cannot wait to go again ... might even take the kids!! Big thankyou to the Distrikt crew from Matt And Loui xxxx

Great hotel for seeing New York.Posted Mar 1, 2014
Pros - no unnecessary and annoying frills, just nice, good sized, clean rooms; and friendly, helpful and efficient staff, in a central city location (port authority subway stop is two seconds away and on loadsa lines) - nice touch of coffee/cocoa/cucumber water by the entrance. Very welcoming on a freezing day! Cons - next to a parole office and so a few characters about, but so what really - never feels remotely unsafe, and just makes you feel like you're engaging with the real New York (not always easy so close to Times Square!) - on last day noticed a tiny bit of ice on the inside of room window. However it was hitting -20C outside, so we shoulda just kept the heating on a little longer!

Nice hotel in the heart of NYCPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Reception staff were efficient , knowledgeable and always very friendly.
Cons: I think that the restaurant (breakfast only) could be improved. Not a great choice for someone who doesn't eat a lot of carbs.
Location: This hotel is ideally situated for exploring the centre of Manhattan Island. Public transport options are across the street.
Spent 5 mid week nights at this hotel , in a room with a view. View was reasonable but not spectacular. The hotel locality is great for sightseeing , shopping etc. Rooms are of a high standard and the unlimited free wifi was a bonus.

This trip was a 18th birthday treat for my niece.Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Modern hotel, located on a quiet street just 5 minutes from Times Square
Location: Just across road from the Port Bus Authority so hands for picking up the Bus Tours
Friendly helpful staff. Modern hotel. Hotel room very well equipped with robes, toiletries, hairdryer, tea/coffee maker, iron and ironing board, flat screen tv, tv and docking station. Would certainly recommend having breakfast in the hotel. Bottomless supply of tea, coffee and orange juice.

Great hotel in great locationPosted Feb 23, 2014
Pros: Great location, friendly and helpful staff.
We travelled as a group of 11 in February 2014 and had a great stay at the Distrikt Hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly on our arrival and helpful throughout our 4 day stay. The room with 2 double beds was ideal with views towards Time Square and the Hudson from the 29th floor. Times Square is a 10min walk and the hotel is opposite the Port Authority Bus Station and nearby subway. Complimentary coffee or hot chocolate in reception after a long day out was always very welcome. Overall we would definitely return.
