Good hotel to see NYC from all angles.

Pros: The water in the lobby was a really nice touch. Chilled flavoured water when you come in from the city was very welcome.
Cons: The lobby area is small, meaning if you want to sit outside your room but not in the city, there isn't really anywhere to go.
Location: There is a subway station nearby and lots of local shops along the street gives you a real taste of New York, contrasting with Time Square.
Distrikt Hotel immediately made us feel welcome. The reception staff were helpful and informative regarding the location and different parts of New York, and to 4 very British tourists, this was extremely useful. It was a shame to be told our room was ready, then to go up and find the cleaner in our room, but all staff were lovely and apologetic for the mix up. When sitting in the lobby waiting for a cab, I occasionally saw tension between the staff over small matters, but when talking to customers they were pleasant and friendly. Overall, it was a great stay. It served its purpose as a resting stop between seeing the sights of New York.

Nice hotel good location

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: The room, the staff, the location.
Cons: Nothing
Location: 3 blocks from times square.
We stayed at this hotel in July, The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was small but comfortable for 2. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in a hotel. Loved the pillows! It was very quiet. The location was perfect for us 3 blocks away from times square. When we checked out they got us a cab. We would definitely stay again!

Nothing special

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The staff is very nice and welcoming.
Cons: Closet space.
the hotel is just ok, the reception is absolutely cold and the room just enough, same as the bathroom. The closet is so small that it's basically missing. I wouldn't recommend it because for the same price you can get much better even in Time Square.

Pros: The cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff and of course the location
Cons: A double room was a tad small
Location: Hells kitchen is at the back, Times square is literally a few minutes walk, Next to the bus station and a few minutes walk to Penn Station.
Great location literally in the centre of Manhattan, walk to Times Square is literally a few minutes. the staff are very friendly and take the time to give advice. The room was very clean although a tad small but YOU MUST STAY here if you visit NYC!!

The staff was fantastic! Our room was spacious and very modern. We were in town for our anniversary, and a personalized card plus chocolate mousse cake was delivered to our room. They truly made us feel welcome and special.

Great hotel in good location

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Close to Times Square, staff
Location: If you want a snack try 2 Bros pizza next door, for a Thai try @Nine on 9th Avenue, for breakfast try Guy and Gallard on 40th between 8th and 7th.
This hotel is close to Times Square and many of the top attractions in New York, the staff are very helpful and even provided umbrellas for our entire party during one of the massive downpours during our stay. Breakfast is good but more than you need to pay, come out of the hotel and turn right for Times Square look out on the right side for Guy and Gallard. On 9th Avenue go left and check out @Nine for a great Thai meal!!
