Not worth the money

If you're basically just staying close to the airport, pick another hotel. For the condition of this old Sheraton property, it's not worth the money. Find a cheaper brand / newer facility. Hilton/DoubleTree should have dumped more money into rehabing this place before putting their name on the building.

No ice for 2 days because machine was broken on 4th floor. Bathroom far below standards for a 150 a night hotel. Punch stains and gum on carpet. Staff good

Nice hotel close to airport

One of the shuttle to and from the airport is in very bad condition. One of the seat is almost detach off the floor (especially when turning). The roof looks like almost collapse, I can see the water retention from the rain. I sat on one of the soaking chair from the leak.

Hotel was OK. We wanted to be close to the airport for an early international flight and this hotel was fine for that.

Understaffed

We stayed at the Doubletree for one night because we were attending the Oprah The Live You Want Weekend. The hotel was grossly understaffed. The restaurant in the hotel was jammed packed and there was only 3 employees. The bartender was running back to the kitchen to serve food to tables. It was awful. There was no service! To the credit of the restaurant, the bartender kept his cool, even though the patrons were very upset from waiting so long for drinks and food. We stayed on the 4th floor and the vending machine and ice machine did not work.

Pros: The two free cookies and their workout room
Cons: EVERYTHING
I would recommend this hotel only to my worst enemy, as soon as you enter the room it smelled old, the apperance of the room was ok but the bathroom was in a total different category. The wall was peeling, the bathtub had mold all over it (which made the first night very uncomfortable to sleep just thinking about it).. It was mold on the sink, the bathtub water didn't go down when you took a shower it came to your ankles.. We had to wait 20 minutes between each shower just so the water could go down.. JUST BAD/TERRIBLE to say we paid over $450 for only two nights.. The second day there my husband and I got up and got the kids out in a hurry before we left we went to the front desk and ask to be switch to a new room, the clerk was rude as hell but gave us a set of new keys because we started to get a little loud.. The SECOND room was just as worst... The only good thing came out was the 2 free cookies!!!! And thats the truth... I don't know if it's like it because it was a old hotel, but to say we spent 18 hours driving from Florida we would never stay there again!

It was amazing. All staff from the front desk to the valet they were all excellent. Overall excellent place. Would recommend to everyone. A plus forgot my I phone charger in the room.
