Wkd break in NYC

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Ideal hotel for a wkd break in NYC. Situated on 51st Street/Lexington Ave with a metro stop right outside the door. So close to all the main avenues if you don't mind walking, and has nice breakfast spots close by.

Dirty Room, Rude Staff

Posted Nov 22, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything could be improved
Location: Close to some good stores, still not the best location.
I had complained about the room I was assigned being dirty, then got moved to another room which was just as dirty (Hair all over the bathroom). After being very disappointed, the manager sent the housekeeping supervisor up to check it out. He was very friendly, but the house keeper was rude. After all of that, all of the staff in the hotel seemed to have known that I had complained, and all were very rude. Never staying there again.

Good hotel in midtown, close to Times Square

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: Good location, and the staff was very helpful. When we checked in around midnight, they were able to recommend a nearly restaurant that was still open
Cons: I don't like when a hotel charges extra for Wifi. It should be included. That said, Wifi was free in the lobby.
Location: Five minute walk to Times Square, 20 minutes to Central Park.
When we booked our room, Expedia put us in a special room for wheelchairs, which was not appropriate for our family. Even though it was Expedia's fault, the staff was very accommodating when we asked to be moved to a better room, and there was no additional cost to us.

Pros: The location
Cons: Sound proof the rooms.
Overall was okay. But I could hear everyone around us, the first night the guests next door to us came in late and I know they were smoking in the non smoking facility, because we could smell it. Ugh. They other nights were just noisey.

Nice hotel in a great location

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Location: It is very close to the MOMA.
We had a very nice stay at this hotel. Our only disappointment was that the hotel charges $1 per bag to hold a bag after you check out -- and then $1 per bag to retrieve your bag when you come back to pick it up. Seems a little ridiculous. But we wanted to enjoy Manhattan for the day before we went us to the next stop in our trip.
