The location of the hotel is excellent. It's close to the subways, shops, restaurant and time square. I will recommend this place to family, friends and coworkers.

Nice hotel but room service with bad attitude!

We stayed last weekend in this Hilton. The check in was good, the lady was very nice and helpful. After check in we put our luggage in our room and left right away to explore NYC. When we got back we used the bathroom the first time, that's when my sister saw the extrem dirrty toilet. It looked like somebody puked on it and there where pee marks everywhere. I called the front desk, she connected mt to the room service, I told them the problem and she gave me a bad attitude, her words " what do you want me to do... Do you want it re cleaned?" I said yes. 45 min later nobody still came so I went down to the front desk and complaint, 5 min later somebody finally came to clean it. That was the only problem we had there. The hotel is close to the train station and a lot of food options.

Great Hotel for the price

The location is great. Right in the heart of Manhattan. The subway is right next to the hotel. Easy to get around. The staff and the cleanliness of the hotel was great. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who's interested in visiting New York City. Great Price!!!

Exactly what we needed for brief visit to NYC

Hotel was very convenient for driving to. Parking garage underneath has direct access to the hotel. Perfect if it is raining! Room was good size and clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower had good pressure! Staff were very efficient and friendly. We did not use the bar or restaurant so cannot comment on them. All in all our stay was just what we needed to compliment the reason for our trip to NYC -- to go to a ballet at Lincoln Center.

Consistent, value in convenient part of NYC

Pros: Location, good breakfast place next door, plenty of restaurants nearby, good value
Cons: The hospitality of the hotel bar staff
Location: Plenty of restaurants, not far from Grand Central, NYC Public Library, etc.
Quick overnight stay to a place I've been coming for years. This hotel has consistently been good during that time and I recommend it. Staff is good and friendly at check in, including the Doubletree cookie, of course. The food at the bar is good (just had the burger) but the waiter charged me for two sodas even though he kept refilling them. Also, I asked if they could change the channel to the Yankees game since nobody else was watching and he said they didn't have access to it. I seriously doubt this. Only downgrade is because of that.

The location is perfect but no free wifi

When the cleaning staff comes and clean the room, they threw away all of our drinks and water bottles. I was not pleased and when I asked the cleaning lady, she apologized nonchalantly. But it was a quiet location despite the fact that it's near everything. Most of the tourist sites are in walking distance, which is a plus. This location is only 20 minutes away from the LaGuardia airport so it's not too expensive to take the taxi there.

Exactly what we needed.

Was staying with my teenage son for the weekend and this hotel fit the bill. Rooms were spacious (for NY), very clean - and very quiet! Location excellent for walking and we were right off the subway. We got a great deal - would stay here again!

Great location

Spacious room, great housekeeping .great location . Just a little disappointed with no fridge or tea/ coffee making facilities . Air con noisy .didnt bother is but may be an issue for others.
