Our room bathroom did not have a vent extractor, the A/C heater did not work all the time it goes on and off by itself. Very low quality toilet paper. The last day of our stay, house keeping did not show at all even when we requested by phone twice, when we came back at night, our room was not make and we had no towels! Only towels arrived after a third call at 1:30 am !!! We know hotels and everything else is expensive in NYC, but this one is too expensive for what they offered; in fact, we are not going back any more to any Hilton or double three just because of that, precisely that's why you book at this category hotels and is because you want to have a pleasant stay and do not care about expending more money as long as you get what you are expecting for.

Exellent location in Manhattan

Pros: We were supposed to check in at 3:00 but the gave us our room as soon as we arrive around noon.
Cons: Breakfast. Kind of expensive. Nexto the hotel you a cafe where you can find a lot of variety for half of the price.
It´s our second time in Double Tree Metropolitan. Location is simply great. You have a subway station next to the hotel. So close from 5th ave, Rockerfeller Center, restaurants, pharmacies, and stores like GAP, Victoria Secret and Bloomingdales.

Location: Central Park Grand Central Station Museums easy to reach

Convenient Mid-Town hotel

Pros: Location
Cons: Interior is ok but showing signs of heavy use.
Location: Midtown Manhattan, says it all.
Convenient Hotel, with ok accommodation - rooms ok, but not big - and helpful staff. Room service available, but proximity to many local restaurants makes that less important.

Hotel ok, good location.

Pros: Location. Room clean.
Cons: No fridge in the room so no cold water. No tea/coffee making facilities. Although info said there was fridge at the foyer, there wasn't one.
Location: Location on Lexington Ave close to Grand Central Station and Fifth Ave midtown sites.
Room comfortable except no fridge or coffee/tea facilities. Well serviced.

Wonderful location, service could've been better

The hotel has a wonderful location-- walkable distance to grand central. I like the cookies they serve when checking in. Room is comfortable, good for one person. You might wanna book a bigger one for two people. I asked for a bottle of water at 11:00 pm and the front desk said they don't have enough people to serve at this time at night. I had to go downstairs to the drugstore to buy water. And that's not very nice.

Central location was appealing .

Pros: Bar staff had good service ,concierge was very knowledgable.
Cons: Not paying for WiFi and having room ready when they said they would.
Location: Good central location in Manhatten
Got to the Hotel and rooms weren't ready so had to pay the hotel to hold our bags. Then walked around for a few hours,came back and room was still not ready. They promised us an upgrade for having to wait about 4 hours for the room,when we got to the room there wasn't any upgrade the room was small and bathroom was tiny. Also had to pay extra for Wi- Fi .

GREAT Customer Service

We were greeted with a warm cookie to help make our "warm welcome extra special" Need I say more? Aside from the slightly uncomfortable pillows, this experience was one of the best I've ever had in NYC! Great location. Excellent customer service. More than pleasant stay.
