Great location & great staff

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Location: Empire State Building, Korea Town, Shopping (the hotel is located between 7th & 6th ave. on 29th street), Coffee Bruins, Hanamizuki (yelp the last 2).
They hold your luggage before check in and after check out so you don't have to drag it around the city with you all day. The luggage guy is really nice. You get free warm cookies when you check in. I asked for a mini fridge and it got to my room in 5 minutes and the guy was also very nice. The room was very clean, we checked for bed bugs and didn't find any. It was also a pretty big room for NYC and the price. Very close to Penn Station, Korea Town, Midtown, and other subway stations that take you to Greenwich/West Village, SOHO, Chinatown, and Brooklyn. The location was amazing and so was the staff. This is now my go-to hotel whenever I visit NY. Great deal for an amazing price.

Pros: Clean rooms courteous informative staff business center fitness center( treadmills) and good food at chiltons ( hotel restaurant)
Location: Centrally located between uptown and downtown and just left of center between east and west.
I t seemed like no matter what staff member I spoke with, They had all the answers. All recommendations were spot on and and delivered in a polite courteous way. Hotel conveniently located near the red line 1 subway.

Great location.

I hate being in the middle of the crowd as in the Times Square, but at the sae time I want to be close to attractions. Here provided me the best. It was close to my favorite shopping points. to Penn Station, Flat Iron, Broadway, 5th Av, Bryant Park...etc. So I really enjoyed exploring around the hotel. I think it is really safe at night. But if you expect to spend much of time in the hotel, I may not recommend since the room was kind of small and hotel does not provide many facilities (I mean if you expect a decent bar or so but if you are in NYC why should you spend your time in the hotel?) Anyway, the stuff was super nice, In general I really enjoyed my stay there.

Amazing from a to z

We booked in this hotel last minute (2 days before travelling) and we were very worried that it wouldn't be a good location or up to our expectations. However I must say we were very impressed. The staff was very friendly and sweet. As soon as we got there they upgraded us to a room with free breakfast and the breakfast was delicious. Lots of options, fresh fruits and pastries. It was simple but yum. Also the hotel was very clean compared to other hotels we've stayed at in nyc. The room was small (we had a two double bed room) however this is very normal for nyc every hotel will have this room size unless you want to stay outside manhattan. Location was amazing only a few blocks away from times square. Close to chelsea market and the highline. Subway was also a few mins away. I book this hotel again in a heartbeat. Thank you hilton garden inn! Also their cookies are to die for!!! We asked for them 3 times and the staff was so generous!

The room was very small. The bedding smelled awful and was very uncomfortable. The hotel isn't located in Chelsea- it's right across from penn station on a side street. They did give us free cookies though, which was nice. I expected a nicer hotel for what I paid. I stayed at a Raddison inn the night before and the quality of the room was so much better. All in all I would say sub par at best. It's a good last resort if you are desperate.
