Have had better service at other DoubleTree hotelsPosted Apr 15, 2014
We ordered a town car to ride to the airport to catch a really early flight. Two staff at the desk took the order and one actually wrote it down. However, there was no record of the order when the time came. The front desk had to order a backup service at the last minute and put us hack almost 30 minutes.

Clean and convenient. Perfect for a weekend stay.Posted Apr 15, 2014
Got an excellent deal in this hotel with Expedia. The hotel was clean, efficient and conveniently located, which was perfect for my purpose. The staff were very professional and friendly, which was a definite plus.

I made reservations a week ago. When I was at the hotel to check in. They sold out rooms, no room was available.

Wonderful StaffPosted Apr 10, 2014
Cons: Larger rooms and more elevators.
Location: In the middle of Manhattan. . . near the subways and in the middle of the city. Great location.
The staff is wonderful. They are friendly and provide warm cookies, water and a newspaper. The rooms are very quite but they are very small.

Good central locationPosted Apr 10, 2014
Stayed at the Doubletree Chelsea for a 4 night stay in a room with 2 double beds & although the room was not overly spacious it was adequate for the amount if time we spent in it. Staff very friendly & helpful & room clean. Excellent central location for all the main attractions, would stay here again.

Close to the subwayPosted Mar 29, 2014
Cons: Please don't have cart after cart of dirty laundry sitting in the entry
Location: Very close to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden and the Empire State Building.
Great little hotel. The rooms are a little small but considering that you don't spend much time in them (you're in NYC after all) they are adequate. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and the concierge was able to order a private car to take us to the airport. The breakfast buffet in the hotel's restaurant is about the same price as room service so you're better off having an intimate breakfast in your room. Now the negative: We were there for 3 nights and every day the front entrance was so stuffed with carts of dirty linens that you could barely get into the lobby. Not at all the atmosphere I had hoped for on our honeymoon. Also, although we did request and get a view of the Empire State Building, you had to almost lean out the window to see it.

DisappointingPosted Mar 16, 2014
Cons: A lot, see notes in comments. Additionally the food needs improving
Not the room we booked, waited an hour for it to be ready even though it still was not the right room. Excuse was it was over booked. Dirty cloth in room when we did get in. No blanket or duvet for bed. Valet car service took an hour on check out, told it would be 25 minutes. As Hilton Gold Members, it was very disappointing considering the number of Hilton Properties we stay at.
