Great Stay and Location!

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Very comfortable stay; a very courteous and accomodating staff. The room was nice; and they cleaned my room thoroughly - daily. The hotel is also close to a number of major destinations that you may want to check out during your stay. I definitely plan to stay at this hotel again!

Never again!

We made a reservation for three nights with King size bed room. We checked in at around 9pm on the arrival day. The check in staff was okay but I was really upset when I saw the room as it's an accessible room with a DOUBLE bed. I called to front desk, the lady was not nice and said we booked a queen size bed and the bed we were having is a queen size not a double (which we found out it was a lie). I told her that the bed is too small for two people for three nights. She agreed to change the room for us but it will happen in tomorrow morning as they didn't have room at that time due to full house situation. She told us to pack before we leave in the morning, they will move the luggage for us and we just need to stop by front desk to pick up the room key. Later that night I called again to confirm the new room would be a king size bed. They confirmed and informed me that I just need to pack the luggage. When we came back to the hotel at 6 pm the next evening. The same lady who picked up my 1st phone call said they didn't have any record for the room change request and told us rudely that we should have came down to the lobby at 8am if we wanna have a room change. We were so mad and finally she said they only had a two double beds room at that time. We took that and found out the double bed is the same size with "queen" bed that they mentioned. The quality of service is NOT what you would expect from a Hilton group. It was very disappointing. Marriot is so much better.

Pretty good hotel

Check in was fine. We had wine sent to us from friend and never could have a wine opener brought to room. Had to take it down to have it opened. The breakfast was good but servers not that friendly. Room wasn't cleaned each day till almost 5pm.

Safe and near subway location

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: The location and cleanliness along with the breakfast service.
Cons: Room size. Lifts were slow.3 of them to cover 44 floors, with 402 rooms.
Location: Good location away from mid town noise and traffic. Evenings lovely, with battery park etc near by.
Excellent location in the financial district, 2 min walk from subway (Bowling Green) on the 4,5 and 6 line, with connection to other lines 2 stops away. Located near Battery Park, where you can go for an evening stroll with the family which we did, returning back to hotel on foot at 11pm. The whole area is very safe, with lots of places to eat and shop nearby, without the noise and other distractions of mid town. The hotel room was small but compact. We were used to more spacious rooms, hence the reason why we would not go back. The breakfast was included but provided in the restaurant on the ground floor that was atached to the hotel. The service there was superb. The staff were very friendly and organised. The manager in particular ran a very tidy ship.

Good hotel between wall street and Battery Park

Small, beautiful and clean room with comfortable furniture, quality linens. Windows look at the buildings - oh well, its New York, what can we expect. 2-cup coffee machine was useful to us. One time the elevator was broken, but rest was all good. Friendly and helpful staff.
