Great hotel!Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Great location! Comfortable and clean!
Cons: The room was a bit small but that's to be expected in Manhattan
Location: Very close to Wall Street, historic district (check out Fraunces Tavern), Battery Park, World Trade Center site
We stayed at this hotel this past weekend and I was very impressed! We did alot of research before choosing a hotel in NYC because of so many bed bug reports. We are happy to say that this hotel was clean, with a very comfortable bed, updated clean bathroom, great customer service, tasty fresh cookies on arrival and is completely free of bed bugs :) We will stay here again!

Nice Hotel, Bad FoodPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Nice staff
Cons: Room service and elevators
Location: Safe and clean location. Be aware that this is the Financial District, so many things are closed on the weekends
Hotel was nice, but room service was terrible (my food arrived 45 minutes later, and was cold). Also, the elevators are quite slow.

Valentine's weekend in NYCPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Location (close to 4-5-R-1 Subway lines), staff and comfort
Cons: 'longer' beds and regular sized pillows (those thin square shaped ones are very uncomfortable / not sure why so many hotels use these...)
Location: Right off of Bowling Green park (Wall Street Bull area), it's a short walk to the Staten Island Ferry terminal and the World Trade Center site.
In NYC for 3 days over the Valentine's weekend. We had stayed at the DT a couple of years ago and it's still a great hotel in the heart of the financial district. Staff is friendly and rooms are comfortable. Bed was nice although it was very 'short' for being a King sized bed. Not sure how to describe it other than we could not extend our legs fully without being a foot outside the bed length (I am about 6 feet tall and this is not an issue with our King at home). Odd. Otherwise, stay was very comfortable. Would return again.

Excellent service and locationPosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The location. It was in the next street to Bowling Green Subway station, which gives you a express train service to Grand Central.
Cons: Housekeeping. The lady usually arrived at 4pm each day which means not afternoon nap if you were tired!
Location: It's 2mins from Wall Street, views of Statue of Liberty and the cheapest designer shop - Century 21.
The Hotel is of an excellent standard, more for the business traveller, but most of them disappear over the weekend, when the Wall Street area is full of mostly tourists. The hotel was quieter and the area of the weekend period. I am only sorry I didn't have more time at the hotel. The staff are brilliant, friendly, welcoming and courteous.

Good location in Financial Street eg NY Exchange but for visitor it is easy to be lost. Room is nice but the shower space is too limited and even too small.

Very polite and friendly staffPosted Feb 16, 2014
Pros: The staff
Location: In the middle of the financial district. Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Wall Street, Ground Zero are all near by.
We stayed two nights here. The staff were exceedingly polite and friendly. Room was a little small, although reasonable considering it's in Manhattan. Very clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel but too far downtown.Posted Feb 13, 2014
I had a very enjoyable stay at Double Tree, however because it is so far south on Manhattan, a lot of walking or catching of trains is necessary for all but the things in this location. That said, there is a terrific little pub next door called Murphy's that I visited a few times. The room was a tad small, however apart from that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.
