“Excellent find at a great price.”
Get off the metro at 42nd St (not Penn Station). Very short walk to Broadway and also close to the Javits Center. We paid a few bucks extra and had a water view and could also see the Empire State Building. COMPLETE kitchen - dishwasher, stovetop, microwave, large refrigerator, sink, real dishes, dish towels. Overall an excellent deal and would highly recommend it. Building is nice and rooms are new.
“Would stay here again in a heart beat”
I usually stay at a different hotel when I visit NYC but in recent years, that hotel began to read its own press (I guess) and raised its rates to the point that I just can't justify spending that kind of money per night - can you say car payment? Anyway, I'm not one to easily make change BUT I am so glad that, when it came time for me to have to change hotels, I found Element. Every (no exaggeration) staff member that I encountered asked me if I was enjoying my stay and they were all courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Love the kitchenette!!! And REALLY loved the view of the Empire State Building and Hudson River from my room. Can't wait to go back.
“New York Vacation- 3/19/2011”
THIS WAS MY BOYFRIEND AND I FIRST TIME VISITING NEW YORK, IT WAS HIS BIRTHDAY/ VACATION. THE HOTEL WAS GREAT, THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HOUSKEEPING WAS GREAT ASWELL. ROOM WAS A GREAT SIZE WE STAYED IN THE DELUXE KING ROOM, NICE AND COMFORTABLE KING SIZED BED, NICE 32 IN FLAT SCREEN TV, KITCHENETTE WITH 2 BURNER STOVE, NORMAL SIZED REFRIGERATOR, MICROWAVE, ETC. BATHROOM WAS GREAT, NO TUB, SHOWER ONLY BUT ITS TO DIE FOR, STEAM AND HOT WATER!!! LOVED IT! HOTEL IS REALLY CLOSE TO LOTS ALL ATTRACTIONS WITH IN WALKING DISTANCE, SUCH AS: TIMES SQUARE, EMPIRE STATE BUILDING, NUMEROUS OF RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS FOR SHOPPING PLEASURE. WE LOVED THE HOTEL AND WILL DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN ON THE NEXT VISIT TO NYC!!
“Newlywed Couples Trip to NYC”
If you are into modern, sleek, eco-friendly and clean...this is the hotel for you. The hotel staff from the housekeepers to the managers are extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived at the hotel around 1PM and our room was ready! The complimentary breakfast served every morning is truly a full breakfast, hard to find and a great feature. It is clear they are still making improvements to this new hotel, once complete I can only imagine how nice it will look. The only down fall is the location. There is a night club about 2 doors down from the hotel that after around 9PM becomes quite sketchy, I wouldn't go out that late alone in NY anyway but just be cautious until you reach 8th Ave. ***If you love pizza, go up to 44th St/8th Ave 'John's Pizza'. The pizza is amazing, atmosphere is beautiful and the prices are GREAT!
“Excellent Location!”
Room was extremely comfortable and the location was great! The bar is a must see at night!
“My New Favorite Hotel~ Wow!”
This is by far the best hotel I've ever stay at. The Element is a newly built (Fall 2010) hotel located in the Garment District in NYC. It's only a few blocks from Times Square and Hell's Kitchen's amazing restaurants. The views from both side are amazing. The rooms are large by NYC standards~ all with kitchenettes and pillow top king beds. The hotel staff was wonderful as well~ very helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The best part of the Element was the daily buffet breakfast; although it was very crowded and hard to find a seat or even a place to stand. My only real complaint was the rooftop terrace entrance door- located next to our initial room (before we moved after the first night). The terrace is open 24/7 with a heavy, loud door that slammed each time it was opened and closed, which was frequent all night long and kept us from sleeping. I advise to make sure your room isn't anywhere near it when you check in. We got a great package rate through Expedia and I will only ever stay at the Element on my travels to NYC!
“Impressive”
I was very impressed with the hotel and the hotel staff. Clean, comfortable and in a great location. I would definitely stay here again.
“Pleasant surprise”
My stay at the Element was great. The room was unique and very well decorated. Big and comfortable bed, workarea and the bonusof the kitchenette. The shower was great. The location right around the fashion district had a real neighborhood feel and yet still very close to time square. I would definitely stay here again.
“Very nice, modern hotel”
beautifully decorated, complete with kitchette, stove, dishwasher. nice bed and flat screen TV. very close to Times Square. Breakfast is included but very crowded.
“AWESOME”
