Close to Times Square

Posted Aug 18, 2014
This hotel was fine except for the elevators. What a nightmare! All guests were complaining about how long the wait was for the elevators and they kept passing floors. Wait for an elevator went up to 20 minutes in some cases. They really need to do something about this. This is the main reason I would never stay here again.

Good Location

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Location and the nice staff.
Cons: Let people know about the work out room that is one floor below the main floor. Didn't find it until the day we were leaving.
Location: Convenient to subway, Time Square, Cake Boss Cafe.
Was able to walk to Time Square from the hotel. Loved the breakfast and evening food. Nice to come in from walking and find a container of water with oranges in it. Made for a very nice experience.

Nice hotel conveniently placed for Times Square

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Clean, well-equipped and good location.
We stayed at this hotel with our two daughters in a room with two double beds. The room was a reasonable size with laptop-sized safe, tea / coffee making facilities and a kitchenette. A fair breakfast buffet was provided for all guests. The hotel has 40 floors with only 10 rooms on each which means that the three lifts are very busy. The roof-top terrace was a little disappointing (a small area on one corner of the roof with a few chairs and tables) but otherwise the hotel was excellent.

Great Hotel - we will return!

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: We loved the location, views, room amenities, great staff, breakfast included, Happy hour, and full kitchen including a full size fridge with freezer.
Cons: This is the only improvement we'd like - one more portable chair in the room would be great so we could both sit by the window and enjoy the view.
Location: The location was fantastic - yet quiet! - so close to Times Square, Broadway, Hells Kitchen, Subway , High Line and in the Garment District
We had a fantastic 8 night stay in June 2014. A room with a view was our top priority and with a room on the 40th floor the view was amazing!!! We looked out towards the World Trade Centre site ,the river and the Empire State Building . We were very happy with our room even though we were told it was a bit smaller than normal. It was spacious and equipped with all we could ask for in the kitchen, bathroom and the room itself. We didn’t have any problem with the lifts and found them fast and reliable. We found the breakfasts to be generous. To avoid the crowds we collected our food and then enjoyed it back in our room. The afternoon “Happy Hours” were more than generous too. On offer was wine and local beer, crackers, cheese, salad, potato wedges and even hot finger food. The “Business Centre” made it easy to print boarding passes etc. and the free Wi-Fi everywhere was great. The rooftop terrace was a lovely area with fantastic views. All the staff were very friendly and professional and I can’t thank them enough for making our stay so enjoyable. The location of the hotel is perfect – so close to Times Square yet in a much quieter street. We walked to shows on Broadway, to the High Line and to many, many great restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen. The subway station is a couple of minutes away and, on Saturday and Sunday, you can walk down the street to the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market where you can pick up a bargain. We can't wait to return to this hotel.

Great location for Midtown NY

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Hotel in a good location, free basic breakfast, and a fantastic view from the room and the top terrace - breathtaking at night!
Cons: Possibly a better way of serving breakfast to avoid the mayhem! Sure there are people using the free breakfast and coffee who are not guests!
Location: Central Park, Empire State, Top of the Rock, Macy's, Bloomingdales and of course Times Square all in 15 mins walk. Right next to Port Authority.
Hotel in a good central location and that helps when it is your first time in New York. Times Square is a 2 minute walk away. There is a free basic breakfast but it get's busy and I am sure non-guests use this as there isn't a way of controlling who uses it! A fantastic view from your room - we had the side facing the Empire state. A small top terrace provides breathtaking views at night!

Very convenient to theater

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Comfortable room and very helpful staff and concierge
Cons: Elevators
Location: West 39th between 8th and 9th Close to garment district, Times Square and Broadway theaters
Breakfast was good, but crowded, and the only drawback was that you often had to wait for elevators.
