Very good location. Close to everything.

Posted Nov 27, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Elevators in the morning are very crowded and not stopping at every floor. We ended up walking down using the stairs (18 floors), good workout.
Location: Walking distance to Times Square, subway very close, lots of restaurants and fast foods close by. Theaters as well.
Staff was amazing, not even one request denied. Breakfast was more than expected, they kept bringing more food even beyond closing time. We were given a late check out with no extra charge since we had a late flight. Beds were super comfortable, shower good size and great water flow. Basically everything great.

It was clean, in a centralized location, and the staff was extremely friendly. I didn't need much more for a quick stay in NYC. If I had an extended stay I would definitely be here as well since the room was fully equipped with a full kitchen.

Excellent location for midtown Manhattan

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Breakfast included. Location. Free wifi.
Cons: Lifts are inadequate for floors and numbers.
Location: Empire State. Times Square. Broadway Shows.
A very busy vibrant hotel. Really comfortable beds and roomy bathrooms with great towels and toiletries. Rooms are on the small side due to large fridge/ freezer, sink, hob and dishwasher in the room! Breakfast frantic and staff have difficulty replenishing dishes to cope with the demand and seating very limited. However it works! Also has free wifi which worked well on 39th floor. A good overall hotel.

Pros: The room
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Excellent location to get around Manhattan.
Breakfast could be much better. One of the nights I stayed, I stayed out late and arrived to the hotel at 1 am, the was only one out of three elevators working and it took me 30 minutes to get to the 28th floor.

Great Location will definitely return

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Location and that Breakfast was Included. Staff were always very friendly and helpful
Cons: More visible signage outside, we passed by hotel on our first night out exploring and had to back track.
Location: Short walk to Times Square and Theatres Next to bus station for transportation to Jersey Gardens and Woodbury Commons
Four of us shared our room with two double beds. Location of this hotel was excellent. We were a short walk to Times Square, Bus Station and Hop on Hop off transportation. The kitchenette was an added bonus with a full size fridge for storage, as well as dishwasher, microwave and stove top. The complimentary meet and greet Mon - Thurs was very nice. We especially enjoyed it upon arrival after a long travel day - the food and spirits were wonderful. We will definitely use this hotel on our next girls shopping weekend in NYC. Also, beds were super comfortable and once inside your room you didn't hear any noise from other patrons, elevators or road.

Great night out in NYC

Posted Nov 20, 2014
The Element and all of its staff made our stay just terrific. They took care of our luggage prior to us checking in, and the next day while we were out and about all over New York City, they did just the same. All of the staff were very amicable and energetic. We will most definitely stay here again the next time we are in New York City.

Weekend in New York

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: The location of the hotel is great, it is right in mid-town Manhattan, just over from Time Square.
Cons: Definitely the cleanliness, the refreshing of items in rooms needs to be stepped up. The security for floor access.
Location: We went to a football game, the shuttle for the game was basically right next door out of Port Authority Bus Terminal, which was great.
The hotel is well situated and the staff were very friendly, our room was ready when we arrived. Couple of quirky things about the room, the carpet under the bed was ripped on a corner so was a tripping hazard and the bed itself was big for the room so on the "window" side you had to squeeze past the air conditioning unit/heater to get in the one side of the bed. The room for the most part was clean, although there were some items that weren't cleaned up behind a piece of furniture that could obviously be pulled out and which I wouldn't have noticed had I not dropped something on the floor and had to bend over to pick it up. The morning after the first night, the room was cleaned, but then it wasn't cleaned for the next two nights, so coffee wasn't refreshed, towels weren't refreshed (not that that was necessary, but had it been it wasn't done). The "free" breakfast in the morning was not regulated very well, it seemed there were people taking way more than their allotment and not leaving anything for anyone else and whether they all were staying in the hotel is questionable - but that is more of a people thing than the hotel. The elevators weren't locked off to the floors, so anyone could really just come in and go to any of the floors, although they had security in the lobby didn't really make you feel like it was secure access.
