Great hotel, short walk to subwayPosted Dec 5, 2013
We came to NYC to see the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. The staff was helpful with tips on yummy places to eat and ideas for where to view the parade! We used th Subway to get around the city and there's a station a block and a half away. We will stay here again if the opportunity arises!

Great hotel close to many attractionsPosted Dec 5, 2013
Pros: We really enjoyed its location and the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: I think we would have preferred the hotel hallways to be a bit more quiet, we were located near the elevator which gets a lot of traffic.
Location: We were extremely pleased with the location. We were able to walk to most everything we wanted to see and do and felt very comfortable doing so.
My husband and I had a wonderful time in NYC and part of that was due to the stay we had at the Element Hotel. We were able to check in several hours early upon arrival and we were always greeted with a friendly staff person no matter the time of day. We were really pleased with our room and its size. The rain shower head was a nice added touch as well. Overall we were really happy with our stay and would certainly choose the Element again. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to many of the great attractions of the city.

Love the location and Staff.Posted Dec 4, 2013
Wonderful hotel with great staff. Really enjoyed the FREE that's right free breakfast. Lots of money saved everyday because of this. I knew what to expect however my only complaint is the elevator as everyone mentioned before. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Great Location very close to Times SquarePosted Dec 4, 2013
Pros: It has a great gym facility, a little shop and also laundry facilities available for guest. Our room had a good sized fridge & cooking facilities.
Location: The hotel is well located to Times Square, Theatre district, Macy's, Empire State Building, Top of the Rock to name a few plus a Subway stop.
We wanted a central location for our first time in New York city and this hotel certainly gave us that. We stayed here for a week (21st to 28th October) and it provided an excellent base for our holiday in New York. I had read reviews about congestion at the lifts and breakfast being busy so we were prepared for that. The lifts didn't cause us any issues (our room was right next to the lift) and while breakfast was very busy the staff kept the food replenished and we always found somewhere to sit. The hotel has a great mix of clientele from business to tourist and caters well for them all. Our room looked over The New York Times Building, some rooms have views of the Hudson River and I would suggest if you want a 'river' view you request it in your booking and confirm this by phone. We had a studio room which apparently aren't available on the top floors so were not able to have the river view. Visiting the roof area is a must and gives you fantastic views most directions. Despite being very close to 8th Ave and Port Authority Bus Terminal the noise level in our room was reasonably low - but remember New York is the city that never sleeps so if you are expecting silence at night you will not get it here (but I'm not sure you will get it anywhere in NYC).

Great location, staff very friendlyPosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: Location and overall cleanliness. Beds and bedding were very nice.
Cons: Elevator situation in the am long wait. hotel staff should be requested to limit elevator use in am saw staff go up 1 floor w/just a clipboard :(
Location: Loved the location. Times sq, Bryant Pk, Rockerfeller Ctr, and great food and shopping a simple walk. subway stations a blk or 2 away.
Nice hotel and close to everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were decent size and felt very clean.

Simple but modern hotel, 2 mins from Times Square.Posted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Clean, modern and stylish in a relaxed environment. Tea and coffee were available in reception throughout the day. The room/shower/bed excellent.
Cons: Would have appreciated a wider range of cereals, yoghurts and cut fruit, although all 3 were available along with pastries, bagels and toast.
Location: Excellent, 2mins from Bus Station, 5mins from heart of TimesSquare and bus tours. Can walk to Broadway, Macys etc. in 10-15mins.

Brilliant location.Posted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness, location, facilities.
Location: Too many! Times Square, Rockefeller Centre, Central Park, shopping on 5th & 6th Avenue, Broadway, Grand Central Station, numerous bars & restaurants.
This hotel was much better than my wife and I thought it would be for the price we paid. Only a 10 minute walk from Times Square and all the attractions. Staff are always helpful and willing to assist. Excellent facilities in the bedroom and also a well equipped, modern bathroom. The kitchenette was an added bonus which was equipped with tall fridge/freezer, double ring cooker, sink, dishwasher and all the utensils you would need. It even had salt & pepper mills. Very comfortable bedroom and all kept very clean. The only slight criticism is that there are no drawers in which to store small items such as shirts/blouses, socks and underwear but this didn't really make much difference. The free buffet breakfast was much better than we anticipated with plenty tea and coffee as well as juices, bread for toast as well as French toast, sachets of syrup, jam and butter, cake and pastries, three types of hot food which were, egg & bacon in a biscuit (American for a type of roll), another biscuit which has egg & sausage and a cheese omelette in pitta bread. Yes, it was busy but there was plenty of seating and some people did take what they wanted up to their room, but we didn't. This definitely set us up for the rest of the day. In the evening, there is a 'Happy Hour' from 5.30pm to 7pm and again, this was very good. Two beers were available on tap, one of which was Samual Adams which I like and again plenty hot food and savoury snacks which we hadn't anticipated.
