“Satisfying Hotel in Newark”

The Hotel is situation within walking distance of a shopping center with restaurants and Walmart. A public bus stop is right outside, and brings you to New York Downtown within 20 minutes every 15/20 min. No Hotel shuttle service from/to airport or other places (Taxi from Newark Airport around 60 Dollar).The Hotel staff was friendly and the quality ok - even though not as good as some other Embassy Suites I stayed in before. Breakfast and reception were included, but choices were limited and just ok. The room was also ok, the age and quality of the room a bit below expectations, but not bad. Altogether, I would no mind to go there again in the future, but would also open to alternatives.

“Great time,”

Great room for us and our 2 boys (8 and 10) after Medieval TImes and then into the City. Lots of places to dine and shop right around the Hotel as well. Hotel pool good for the Kids but limited access due to rules for when Kids can use the pool. I would not hesitate to stay again.

“Less than expected for an Embassy Suites”

I expected a desk area like other Embassy Suites with a phone and desk lamp. But, there wasn't any in the room. Also, information about the hotel services was not any where to be seen. Just a photocopy of a room service menu.

“"a bit pricey"”

this hotel is very well maintained and comfy. I stayed for one nite and had a good nights rest. It ran a bit pricey but did include a nice breakfast :-)

“Very convenient”

This hotel is very convenient to NYC - short bus ride to Port Authority. The staff were somewhat friendly. The full breakfast is a real plus.

“Can't wait to back.”

My husband and I stayed with our son and 2 grandchildren for 3 nights. The purpose of our trip was to see New York City, take in a Yankee game and Broadway show. Loved the hotel. The price was reasonable. We rented 2 suites for the 5 of us. More than enough room for all of us. It felt very safe. Breakfast was great. Wished it was served a little later on week days since we were exhausted from walking in the city all day and slept in. The pool area was very nice. The grandkids, 13 and 9 had a wonderful time. Bus to the city was right out front and took only 15 minutes to Port Authority except for Friday evening when it was extremely busy. Nice looking mall across the street with good restaurants but didn't have time to shop this time. Parking was safe and convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there the next time we go to the city.

“Definitely the Place for a Vacation to Explore New York”

We will definitely stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel again after staying there for the past 7 or 8 years. The place is comfortable and the new staff is efficient, and courteous. The cooked to order breakfast is good and there is a wide selection. the vicinity is easy to get around and there are many affordable r3estaurants around to eat and a movie theatre close by. the environment is a business and vacation like surrounding which is relatively safe to get around.

Getting around

It is cheaper to use the publlic transportation into Mannatthan, New York.

Dining

Ther are many restaurants in the surrounding area. Not 5 star restaurant but affordable and satisfying.

Family-friendly activities

The theatres, shopping and the super Walmart. The Harmon cove Outlet is a waste of one's time. The stores are expensive and the service is very poor.

“Amazing Hotel”

Hotel is honstely advetised,breakfast was very good,bus to New york acroos the street .well furnished and equipped room ,free parking in a secured parking lot , nearby restaurants and shops,also.25 minutes from Jersy Gadens Mall(best outlet mall -no tax for clothings, all brand namesin this mall) friendl reception staff 24 hours

Visting New york is so easy just park your car ,and go by public bus across the street

“Very Relaxing!”

We had a great time. This was our second time to NYC so we opted to reserve our room in NJ since we were familiar with the city. The last time we visited NYC, we stayed at the Embassy Suites in the Financial District. We knew we wanted to stay at Embassy Suites again. The hotel in Seacacus was just as convenient and just as nice! We would visit this hotel again!

Area recommendations

The area was great! It was very safe. There were several restaurants within walking distance. The prices beat Manhattan prices by far! It was very relaxing. We enjoyed going back to our hotel after a long day in Manhattan.

Getting around

Taking the NJ Transit bus was very convenient to the hotel. Make sure when you purchase your ticket to NY that you purchase a roundtrip tkt. When leaving the hotel, the bus driver will accept cash but you must have a tkt when you are returning to the hotel. We found out the hard way! When attempting to get on the bus from Port Authority bus terminal at 10:00 pm, we had to go back into the bus terminal to purchase our ticket. We had to wait for the next bus. Luckily though, the buses run about 15-20 apart.
