Highly recommend

Posted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: The clincher for me was that the hotel staff seemed genuinely welcoming and friendly, which gave the place almost a Bed & Breakfast feel.
Chic, comfortable, conveniently located. Personable staff, excellent restaurant. The complimentary 5pm-6pm wine reception (which also featured delicious mojitos the night of our stay) was a welcome amenity. Will definitely return!

Great Vibe

Posted Mar 2, 2014
By far one of sexiest, shrek & hip hotels I've stayed at in the city. The view was great as well as the food. Loved the room decor and the bathroom is a gem.

Perfect location to explore Manhattan on foot

Posted Feb 28, 2014
Pros: Everything!!
Cons: Can't think of anything!
Location: Within walking distance of Empire State Building, Fifth Avenue, Broadway, Central Park, Grand Central Station, Greenwich Village, Ground Zero etc,etc
Stayed for 6 nights in February to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday. Loved the complimentary morning coffees & the free wine reception every evening! Only ate in the hotel once (breakfast) as we wanted to explore a variety of cuisines but this meal was delicious and the service was attentive. On the day of the actual birthday we returned to our room to find a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates - lovely surprise! Front-desk Staff were knowledgeable and helpful in recommending places to eat/visit etc. we were able to visit most of the key sites/attractions, including Broadway theatres, on foot but there is a subway station very close to the hotel which is itself near to the Empire State building which can be seen clearly from some of the rooms & corridors. A memorable stay - can't imagine how we could have improved on our hotel choice.

Great location

Posted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, free wine hour.
Cons: I would of liked coffee in the room and have breakfast included.
Location: empire state building was very close by and you could see it from our room, Madison square gardens 2 mintues away. Time square 10 mins away.
Lovely hotel with great service. Very good location as you could walk to the subway, or the local attraction.

Great hotel & staff; showing a few signs of wear

Posted Feb 12, 2014
Pros: Hotel staff were excellent; breakfast buffet (Sunday) was simple yet very tastefully done
Cons: The hotel is showing a few signs of wear (not too bad but noticeable)
Location: Korea Town is two blocks away; it has a few decent Korean restaurants, including 24-hour Kang Suh restaurant. It's just like being in Korea, really.
I really enjoyed this hotel stay, and I'd stay here again. The staff were all super-friendly and courteous. The hotel is showing some signs of wear and tear, but the cleaning staff did an amazing job of keeping the place spotless. The mini-bar was a nice option after a long day of walking around the city, especially given that there were not many places to eat nearby (see two paragraphs below). The breakfast buffet (not listed anywhere online) was a VERY pleasant surprise. It was a very simple, yet wonderful, array of items. They had the freshest fruits and a pleasing selection of meats and cheeses, in addition to the standard breakfast items. My breakfast experience really made this visit stand out. The worst part about this hotel is the neighborhood. It's in a so-so part of town, kinda dead at night. But I would still stay here again because it's not a very long walk to better parts of town. The hotel has a cool, clean look, and the staff are wonderful. So I'd recommend staying here.

Convenient, Clean, Considerate

Posted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: No real downside. Breakfast location and menu were both above expectations.
Location: Had friends in the Village and a need to go to the Met. Came into Penn Station and walked over. All in, a good central location.
Excellent handling of their responsibilities from front door in. Great value with room. Terrific location for our activities.

New hotel in Chelsea

Posted Jan 30, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: Nothing
Location: 10-20 minutes walking to Empire State Building, Times Square, shopping and theatre district. 30-40 min. downtown wil get you to the Village.
My husband and I wanted a hotel in Chelsea that would be convenient for taking walks and visiting friends. We were not disappointed. We were conveniently located for uptown and downtown trips for sightseeing and excellent dining (small deli, restaurant variety, etc.). The hotel staff at the desk were knowledgeable, patient and courteous. The restaurant food was adequate and delicious. We would certainly stay at Hotel Eventi in future.

Great hotel, better location

Posted Jan 29, 2014
Pros: Location and atmosphere.
Cons: Can't fault it.
Location: Close to many great retailers, Chelsea district, high line and subway station that links to all New York.
Fantastic hotel located close enough to walk to Chelsea bars and restaurants, really close to many iconic retailers. You can walk to many of New Yorks best know sits or easily catch a cab or use the nearby subway. Excellent staff, brilliant value hotel.
