Older but grand hotel. Rooms were small but a decent size. Would book again.

Reliably comfortablePosted May 14, 2015
This is a little gem in the Upoer West Side. It's not hip, it's classy. A wonderful location and close to shops, cafes and Central Park just steps away. I've been coming for years and it's like a familiar friend.

The hotel and staff are really nice. The room was comfortable. The beds were a little hard but they added padding for us.

Good locationPosted May 9, 2015
Pros: Location, room size and bed.
Cons: The bathroom tiles were a throwback to when it was cool to stencil your furniture, but it is only a bathroom.
This is a great location for access to Central Park and the subway. One block across there is a street of restaurants which is good as you can find yourself in areas where there isn't anywhere decent to eat. The bed was comfy if a bit small and the room was clean. The carpet made my eyes strobe but that is by the by.

Nice hotelPosted May 6, 2015
Pros: central to almost all popular tourist spots especially Central Park almost on the doorstep.
Cons: introduction of free tea/coffee making facilities in room
Location: visit central park and not too far from Empire State
Disappointed to find no complimentary tea/coffee facilities had to go out every morning to bring in tea/coffee or be charged per cup in the hotel. Considering the cost of the room per night I would have expected coffee/tea facilities, I wouldn't stay there again.

All was perfect until...Posted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: The restaurant is fabulous!!! Waitress excellent; food very, very good.
Cons: Crazy that water in the room is $3.50 and that I was charged for it when I didn't open it.
Location: Perfect location. Good restaurants. Try the hotel restaurant (Cuban); Bistro Citron on Columbus or Andy's on Columbus. Great omlettes.
I was billed for water in the room I did not use. I have notified hotel about the error days ago, with no response.
