“All right hotel good location but had bed bugs”

The hotel was in a good location and look really nice but my room had bed bug so it made the stay horrible. I guess thats what you get for that price

It was ok but I would never go back to this particular ESA. Bad location. There were no sidewalks. Vending machines were not stocked with bottled water. They always ran out. There was a coffee machine but coffee filters. I would expect filters.

“OK, but avoid freeway ramp upper rooms - noisy!”

Hotel is fine, just stay on the sides of the hotel away from the elevated on ramp/freeway.

Hotel was low frills and there was no maid service unless you stayed over a week. My wife and I picked this hotel becuase it was cheaper than staying in NYC. We were able to save alot of money by staying in New Jersey, as this hotel was only a mile or so from the train station, and from there it was the last stop before Penn station within the city. I would definitely stay here again. But don't expect any bells and whistles.

When I arrived at the hotel, I stood in front of the front desk waiting to be helped for about 5mins, before the lady at the front desk asked "can I help you." Once i checked into the room it smelled as if someone had just used the restroom. It was freezing cold because someone left the window open, i guess to let the smell out. The recliner had a big wet spot in it, and the floors were filthy. We were able to get another room, but it had not been cleaned yet. I guess you get what you pay for, and it was a good price for New Year's Eve.

“Good value for the location”

As is usually the case with hotels in this area asking the people at the desk for information gets two totally different answers from two different people. Employees should have a cheat sheet for the most frequently asked questions. Getting to and from New York City was easy on Friday but a problem on the weekend. Not the fault of the hotel. Staff was helpful, hotel was clean, rooms were nice but the bed was terrible. Ok for a short stay but a week would have killed our backs.

“Good overall”

Convinient location; however, the bus service is difficult on weekends. if you driving, there is $8 toll each time you are crossing the tunnel. Close to Manhattan. Rooms are ok; value is good, compared to more expensive options

“Only good for a one night stay”

I almost feel bad writing a negative review for this hotel because the staff was so nice, but the rooms were awful. I have to say that the rooms were clean, but the bed was hard as a rock and very difficult to sleep on. There was horrible shower pressure as well. Luckily, we only had to stay for one night and it was very close to the meadowlands.
