Cons: Nothing! We liked it just the way it is!
Location: Times Square, Empire State Building, St. Patrick's Cathedral are all within walking distance of the hotel.
Hotel staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. There was an incident with the safe in our room where it would not open. We reported it to the front desk. Within 30 minutes, the problem was resolved. The breakfast was excellent ( a great variety of food was offered.) I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Good location for pricePosted Jul 12, 2014
Will come back. Love the staff very friendly. Location is good for price. Close to self parking just $17. Room a little small, but it is Time Square in New York.

Time square hotelPosted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The location it was also opposite the bus terminal. The breakfast was good for a continental breakfast and take away option was also available
Cons: Although it was close to time square the actual street the hotel was on was a bit run down and seedy.
Location: Close to time square and theatre land. You can take a bus from the port authority opposite to the shopping malls.
Enjoyable stay close to time square with friendly helpful staff and a good continental breakfast included. The rooms were clean and had all the amenties.

BreakawayPosted Jun 23, 2014
A five day breakaway to see Broadway shows, the 9/11 Museum & Memorial Water Displays, and do some sightseeing. The Hotel is located 5 blocks S/W of Times Square across from the Port Authoritu Bus Depot and within 3-5 blocks of the the theatres. Hotel reception & Concierge were welcoming & helpful re booking a bus tour & arranging pick-up return to airport. The invluded Breakfast had good variety & it could be taken back to your room on supplied trays. Dining area was small but we had no issues getting seared after a short wait. Rooms were the size of a Master Bedroom with ample storage & seating. Very comfortable beds & room was well maintained. Had an issue with the seal of the glass shower door...it was fixed that day. Washroom was with a glassed on shower & small vanity suppllemented with gkass shelves. Security was excellent...card scanner on elevator to get to your floor. Great experience...recommend this hotel.

Convenient to Penn Station and Bdway showsPosted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: View - 26th floor on back side. Comfy. Fast elevators.
Cons: Shower doors don't seal well and the floor gets wet. My 3rd stay here.
Location: See above
Subway entrance is at end of block. Good restaurants on 9th St. Close to Times Square, Broadway and shopping.

Strictly OK hotel close to the Port Authority BusPosted May 26, 2014
Pros: The staff (front desk) of this hotel is their best asset. Always cheerful and helpful, they made our stay as comfortable as they possibly could.
Location: The location is the one of the positives for this hotel. It is very close to Manhattan/Broadway/5th Ave - everything is within walking distance.
The Fairfield Inn is not your typical Marriott property. We were surprised to see the hotel being a tiny hotel in one corner of the lane next to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The rooms at the hotel are challenging in terms of size (although some may argue that most Manhattan hotels will have smaller rooms). The breakfast queues are really ridiculous. Cleanliness of the room was also a big issue with the cleaning staff forgetting to empty the trash on two occasions during our 4 day stay! Overall the hotel was a disappointment. There are many other Marriott properties in Manhattan and it would be better if one looked at other options.

Thank you so very much for your comments and pointing out the issue with the trash in your room. This is truly appreciated to ensure that this does not happen to any other guest in our hotel. Glad you enjoyed the service at the hotel.
