Simple but clean

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: It was clean, had free wifi, and provided breakfast.
Cons: could have a larger gym.
Location: penn station was very close, time square also close.
I thought the stay was pleasant. The could have been a larger gym. I didn't realize how small the hotel was, but everything was very clean.

Was promised a room with a city view when I made the reservation. Instead I got a room with no view. It was the rear of tye hotel.

Great midtown location with rooftop bar

Posted Aug 24, 2014
My boyfriend and I had a nice one night stay. After checking in we enjoyed the happy hour at their rooftop bar. The room was clean and comfortable. It was convenient having a hot breakfast in the morning (typical complimentary hotel buffet breakfast). The room was listed as "city view" but it was the 9th floor and faced another building. I would stay there again but save the few dollars for a "city view."

Great general location.

Pros: Access to airport via Penn Station.
Cons: Would have liked bar to be open later at night, and drinks served in glass. Send bartender to traing!
Location: Walking access to Union Square, Penn Station, Madison Square Gardens.
Quick easy access to Newark airport. Really enjoyed the outdoor patio available for breakfast. Wide selection for breakfast. Nice rooftop bar, overlooking Manhattan, although drinks were terrible & serving them in plastic cups made sense for safety but was disappointing.

No city view

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Lobby was nice
Cons: AC unit
Location: Good spot near 8th and only mile from Chelsea pier
Stayed at fairfield inn on 33rd st and 8th. Booked through Expedia and it said "city view" for my room but all I got was a window to walls , no view. Second the room smelled terrible. It was the AC unit. The staff was friendly but could not change rooms. The smell from AC was really bad!!!

Great location, great hotel

Location: Good location, 10 mins walk to Empire State Building and 20 mins to Times Square Great if you need Penn Station for any reason
Great location just 2 mins walk from the nearest subway stations and Penn Station where we needed to be for an early morning train on our day of departure. The hotel staff were welcoming and room was clean and comfortable, albeit on the small side but guess this is to be expected for NYC! We also managed to change to a city view room on a high floor which gave us a most amazing view of the lit up One World Trade Center. The included breakfast was a welcome surprise, we expected a continental breakfast but this included hot scrambled eggs, burgers, waffles, fresh fruit and muffins and made a lovely start to the day. We enjoyed sitting in the outside courtyard bit as well. Yes it was a bit busy but we never waited too long for a table. All in all an enjoyable stay and would certainly recommend to anyone (make sure you go to the roof top bar with the great view at night) Also check out the lovely view of the Empire State Building at night...just walk to the corner of the street and there it is, AWESOME!!

Close to MSG

Location: Good location. Right by the subway to get uptown and downtown, a 10 min. walk from Times Square, and a lot of decent local places to eat
The hotel is a modern and clean place but still has the NYC room size - comfortable but not spacious. The best part of the place is that it's modern and clean, has a nice patio on the rooftop, nice cardio equipment but limited weights. The free hot and cold breakfast in the morning gets a bit crowded but is an excellent start to the day and well worth the stay as NYC can be expensive.

Nice hotel in great location

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Queen beds, the open bar on the roof and especially the staff.
Cons: Bathroom towels could be improved.
Location: Proximity to all New York sites. Madison Square Gardens is across the street, The Empire State Building is a couple blocks away.
The room was small but it had 2 queen beds that were very comfortable. The staff were fantastic. Everyone from the front desk to the cleaning staff were very helpful. The free breakfast was good. The hotel is across the street from Madison Square Garden and it is close to all major sites in Manhattan. We would definitely stay here again.
