Great Hotel location, but clueless staff

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Location, breakfast (even when Saturday morning chef didnt show up so we didnt have a full menu)
Cons: Staff training (front desk)
Location: Great location, near almost everything in Manhattan
The front desk double charged my credit card and would understand what "splitting the amount in two card would be"

Perfetto per NYC

Posted Feb 1, 2015
Keshia, Brittany e Kawanda SONO STATE GRANDIOSE, professionali, sempre disponibili e simpaticissime!!!! Veramente un piacere e un augurio:"CONTINUATE COSÌ "!!!!!

Great stay

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: everything
Cons: Bathroom exhaust fan was a bit noisy
Location: Great location, MSG only about 2 blocks and no problem walking to Times Square.
We arrived early for check in but the front desk staff could not have been more helpful. Although the room was not available yet, which we were expecting, they kept our luggage secure and offered the breakfast buffet. They also offered a ny map and took our cell phone number to call us when a room became available. Later in the day we inquired about a restaurant recommendation, the desk staff recommended the Triple Crown and also gave us a discount coupon for this restaurant, which was very close by and also reasonable and good. We were pleasantly surprised by the great treatment at the Fairfield. Parking was not a problem, although we did not use the valet parking there was no issue, the lot was only half a block down the same street and the rate was reasonable ($35.00)with the hotel validation.

Couldn't sleep!

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: Exercise room, breakfast
Cons: Eliminate noise from the plumbing!
It was VERY difficult to sleep due to noise of loud running water possibly from a frequently (every minute or two) flushing toilet!

Our stay was pleasant but could have been better

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Location is excellent for visiting major NYC attractions; Hotel provides 24/7 coffee & free access to internet plus free printouts that helps tourists
Cons: Provide more vegetarian options and a variety in the breakfast menu. It'd be nice to have international channels and pay-per-view features on the TV.
Location: City view from terrace, Harold Square, Dining establishments on 8th Avenue (Chelsea), Flat iron building, Street-Shopping near 28th St subway station.
The view of Empire State Building from our room was amazing and kept us glued to the city view window throughout the stay. Proximity to subway stations and a variety of dining restaurants avoided us a long walk. Hotel provides 24-hour luggage hold service (at both check-in and check-out dates) which was a definite plus for squeezing in more sightseeing time in between the airline travel itinerary. Even though Expedia description of the King Bed Room (City View) mentions availability of a refrigerator and a microwave oven inside of the room, we found the same was not true when we checked in. Amenities in the room (TV remote; desk lamps; bathtub drain plug) were not functional, but were fixed upon request to front desk.

Small Manhattan Location

Posted Dec 27, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: The bathroom door could swing out instead of in, to give more room when exiting the bathroom.
We chose this hotel because of it's midtown location near Madison Square Garden and other area attractions. Although we paid more for "city view" being on the third floor we did not see much. Although if we bent down we could see the empire state building pretty clearly. If there was a chair near the window we could have seen it better. The staff was nice and there was a reduced rate at the parking garage nearby. Over night parking was only $35. We did not valet our car; the line for the valet was ridiculously long when we checked in. The breakfast was nice, and they had a nice seating area. Overall, the hotel was nice and clean, but we expected a bit of a better view considering the price.
