Pretty good with minimal flaws.Posted Nov 29, 2013
Pros: The room, the view through the window.
Cons: Internet connection.
Location: You can do anything as you please. Everything is nearby, you can soak in Manhattan as you walk.
I had a good time staying at this hotel. They are owned by Marriot, and it's nice to see that they maintain Marriot's standard of excellence in quality of rooms, service and overall ambiance. The location is amazing of course, I don't have to tell you that. Everything you need is nearby, and if you have good foot stamina, you can virtually walk to all the attractions in Manhattan. I thought the complementary breakfast was quite good, though I'm not the type to harp on food too much. And staying on the 4th floor, I had an excellent views of a yoga class in which sessions would take place everyday. Quite the eye candy. Here are my few complaints however, and you be the judge whether they over weigh the benefits and comfort of staying in this place. 1) Just one staff was rude. Didn't know too much about the NYC taxi scene and wasn't willing to help either. The others were nice and knowledgeable mind you. 2) The complementary internet wasn't the smoothest.. There were moments of no connection, like about 30 seconds or so. This can get annoying when you surf on the internet for long periods and one of these lapses coordinate with you changing a page. 3) They charge a $20 security deposit per day, which is not listed in Expedia. I don't appreciate any such sneaky charges, even if it's only temporary. But security deposits might be normal for you, so I don't know.

A convenient and safe location.Posted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: Prime location, clean rooms, hearty complimentary breakfast buffet, professional staff.
Cons: Wifi network
Location: Located in the Flower District near MSG and Penn Station, close to three different subway lines.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend in November and had a pleasant time at Fairfield Inn and Suites. It's located super close to Penn Station (about 4 blocks away) and is right in between the red and yellow subway lines (with the green line not too far away either). Perfect location. The room was clean (if you've never been to NYC before you may find the rooms relatively small) and the staff were very professional, helping us with any questions we had. The free breakfast in the mornings was a great way to start our day, with eggs, sausages (the flat kind), cereal, fruit, juice and coffee readily available. Unfortunately, the hotel wifi wasn't working until the last day of our trip, but we managed to find another open network from our room so it ended up not being a problem. So long as the price is right, we would come back here again.

Friendly, accommodating staffPosted Oct 16, 2013
Cons: Breakfast could be be restocked better. Long line for coffee.
Location: Right near the High Line and "1" subway, for a quick ride to Central Park and the upper west side.
Good location, friendly staff. Walking distance to many attractions.

our air conditioning was broken, so our room quite hot for most of our stay. when we finally called the front desk, they sent someone within 5 minutes who fixed it within 10 minutes.

We'll be back!Posted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Clean, quiet, cozy
Cons: Taste of scramble eggs (it was OK, though)
Location: Easy access to both of uptown and downtwn by subway
We loved this hotel! I made the reservation less than a week before and got a nice deal. Checked in around 7:30 pm and out at 12:00 pm next day. Very quiet, comfy bed, very clean and new in every aspect. Nice & simple breakfast, though the space could be crowded depending on the time you get there...but you can just grab things and go to your room if you want...it's a casual hotel anyway. PH floor is accessible to anyone and you can enjoy the view of Empire State Building. This hotel isn't fancy and well equipped as many of those big named hotels, but I prefer this kind of "pettite" hotel. Easy access to both uptown and downtown by subway. I'll definitelycome back!

Great Location in Chelsea, free breakfast which is great in the city and hard to find! Nice and clean great front desk service as well! Only downside is our view was if a stairwell next door! But hey it's NY, and we didn't spend time in the room, other than Sleeping! Would stay here again!

The location is perfect for anyone arriving in nyc but the noise level within the building was awful.
