Lovely hotel NYCPosted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Really enjoyed the 2nd floor area , where you could totally relax in beautiful and comfortable setting after a long day! .
Cons: Long waits for elevator!! We were on 15th floor!
Location: Location was great for adults and children-- within walking distance to American Girl, and 5th Ave. Times Square! Short cab to Broadway Shows!
Overall wonderful experience In this lovely hotel, within walking distance to 5th Ave., Rockefeller Center, and American Girl! All staff were pleasant and helpful, rooms clean and beds very comfortable. Lovely touch to include wine hour every day in the 2nd floor lounge area . Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for adults and children!

Excellent hotel, convenient location.Posted Dec 14, 2014
We stayed at the Affinia 50 for one week in December and really couldn't fault the hotel it's staff or the amenities. The location is excellent for Times Square, Bryant Park, Saks etc and transport links are good with the subway so close.

The Fifty, a smart ,centrally located, hotelPosted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: Very stylish and contemporary, huge, comfy bed
Cons: The candy sold at the reception desk was out of sell by, no milk capsules in the room apart from that faultless.
Location: Near Grand Central Station the finest building in New York, we visited it 3 times in 2 days!
Made to feel very welcome, staff very polite and helpful, particularly the doorman

Fantastic stay, great location, really nice staff!Posted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: Location, staff & price Big rooms, we stayed in a two queensized bed room, and it had plenty of extra space. Do not expect a huge bathroom.
Location: Walk everywhere! Great places to eat breakfast within walking distance.
Great room, great reception staff. We arrived early, about noon, and we were offered a room right away. Ask for a higher floor due to street noise on 3rd Ave! We were glad that we did! Having the "wine hour" is a very nice touch, specially on a COLD day!

I would stay here againPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Nice updates, lots of plug-ins
Location: Upper east side, was near my kids, which is why I stayed there
Stayed here a total of 4 nights, 1st room needed work on the heat...couldn't adjust the thermostat so had to open a window to regulate temps. Second room was much better, both small, but by NY standards just fine. Everything you need in a room, easy chair, ottoman, desk, tv, good lighting.
