“Great little hotel”
I live on LI, but, my wife and I spent the night here for our 10th Anniversary on 11-11-11. We were not in the room that much, but, the hotel is in a great location, the room was clean and updated. And perhaps most surprisingly, it was QUIET. You would not know that you were in midtown. So, if a good night's sleep is in order, you can certainly stay here.
“Dissapointed”
First impression, the reception is a very unconfortable place for the three persons that work there who seem to be hiding behind the desk as they don't have appropiate chairs. We got an interior-very-dark room where we needed to have the lights on all the time even in the morning. The badroom doesn't have any kind oh ventilation! The bar tender had no idea of the bar sortiment, etc. Though the room was clean, we think that the hotel needs better maintenance. On the other hand the hotel is very well located.
“Excellent hotel in east-midtown Manhattan.”
Comfortable, clean and nicely appointed hotel. Courteous service. Conveniently located. We would happily stay again.
“Highly recommend”
The Fitzpatrick Grand Central was the perfect hotel for our weekend getaway to NYC....it was a perfect location for all of our activiities, including getting to a baseball game at Yankee Stadium. Only steps away from Grand Central Terminal, and the #4 subway line, it was easy getting uptown as well as downtown. All of the hotel personnel were very friendly, helpful, and eager to please. The room was clean and attractive and sufficiently spacious for my husband and me. The bathroom was newly renovated and sparkling clean with nice amenities. We look forward to returning sometime soon!
“Great stay(Will stay here every time unless price increases)”
Room very comfortable and good size for New York--right at Grand Central(try Two Boots pizza)& within walking distance of Empire State building FAO Schwartz Toy Store, Times Square but out of all the noise. Maid actually called us personally to ask when we wanted her to clean room. Staff was a great help & very nice. Only negative was that there was no ice machine in building. U have to call down stairs & the restaurant next door will bring u ice. Not sure if is charged. Will stay here everytime we visit our daughter.
“I was hoping more”
Not the best of NY city. The other fitzpatrick is a better proposition
“Still a gem of a hotel”
Fitzpatrick Grand central is a still a lovely gem of a hotel. Conveniently located on 44th St, across from GCT, it is near subway, busses etc. Not really suited for the business traveler. Comfortable rooms, albeit on the small side, like most NYC hotels. Only ding I noticed is that the room carpeting is probably in need of replacing. They recently installed wall mounted TV's and in doing so removed the cabinets that the TV's used to be kept in. The area where the furniture used to be is quite noticeable. It would be nice if they had a business center, although the front desk was willing to print out boarding passes. There is a wonderful French country cafe down the block on the corner of 3rd Ave. and 44th St.
“Can't wait to go back”
Very nice hotel. Good location, clean rooms and nice staff. Conveniently located next to a good restaurant. I only wish they had a gym on-site. That was the only drawback. I would go back again.
“comfort not splendor, good location, friendly staff”
Nice place to park for a few days. Boutique style hotel, not overly fancy, but good honest service and comfort.
““Wonderful location. Wonderful price. 1st class stay!””
The Fitzpatrick Grand Central was one of the best hotels i have stayed at. The staff was beyond helpful. The room was cozy and the bed was a cloud. LOVE IT. The location was GREAT. We walked to times square regularly. Very close to theaters as well. STAY HERE! YOU WONT BE SORRY :)
