Great location

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Location
Location: It's New York. Walk out the door and you're doing something.
Can't beat the location and the condition of the hotel is fine. Rooms are small. It's boutique and they need to keep some profits going into up keep if they are to make it an attractive place to stay. Value for money however you can do better elsewhere.

Not to be recommended .

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Location to where needed to stay- but cannot say anything positive about the actual hotel
Cons: Cleanliness and general updating of décor.
Location: nothing to add
Not to be recommended. Stains on carpet and some areas need to be decorated and updated. If you want housekeeping you have to press the button for do not disturb and vice versa. Nightclub and loud music most nights. Definitely seemed to frequented by "ladies of the night".

Modernt med bra läge

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Bra läge, sköna sängar, ren och skön känsla (speciall ren doft varje gång man kom in i foajen)

Easy transition at check in very pleasant staff.

Posted Dec 2, 2014
This hotel is in a convenient and centrally located area of NYC. Subways are close and walking distance to shopping great restaurants, and sites. Surprised at how roomy the room was for a NYC hotel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The cotton robes added a nice touch to the experience. I would stay again.

Pros: location......shower
Cons: don't know what the hotel could do about late night street noise.
Location: Check out the real Flatiron building.
Easy check in......Nice room....AWESOME SHOWER! Desk help gave us two good suggestions for restaurants within 2 blocks. VERY LOUD music in the lobby at Saturday night....but could not here it from my room.

Sleepless at the flatiron

Posted Nov 24, 2014
They put us on the 2nd floor above a private party band and then the house band that played til 2:00AM! Unbelievable to sell a room with beds at that noise level . Called the manager up at 1:00 offered bottle of wine NO thanks , then offered to move us NOTHING AVAILABLE. Then offed a 50 % discount ion the room . Should be a 100% refund

Old, rundown, over-priced hotel...

Posted Nov 22, 2014
The owners park their vehicles right in from of the hotel and there is often no room to valet park. The price is more than you should pay for as run-down as the hotel is. It's very common with hotels like this where the owners are directly involved with the building for them to be cheapskates and refuse to put any real money back into the hotel. The elevators look like someone blasted a shotgun in the wood pieces on the sides. Good luck requesting late checkout - Complimentary check out is until 12 and if you want 1pm that will cost you an additional $50 extra dollars. But you're in luck... A late check out until 4pm will cost you $145. That's right. Almost the entire cost of a one night stay if you get the Expedia special of $189 per night. Valet parking will cost $52 unless you want to park it yourself... Self-parking is $30 and be prepared to trek across town... Tip not included.

Overnight stay..

Posted Nov 20, 2014
It was great value for a NYC hotel. My friend celebrated her birthday in the lounge portion of the hotel (Toshi's Lounge) highly recommend you check it out. It was a perfect as we just crashed in the hotel and didn't have to worry about the commute home. Only thing is that rooms are small and bathroom as well. We reserved a standard Queen room. It's a cute boutique hotel but not for you if you're looking for more space. You may want to choose the suite option if that's the case. Overall, good experience and staff was friendly. They were able to accommodate a late check out.

Quirky hotel

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: It's pretty close to my office and Eataly. I love that place! More importantly, the place was clean!
Cons: Maybe softer beds.
Location: Eataly is around the corner and Shake Shack is in the park nearby. Penn Station is close as is Madison Sq Gardens.
I've passed the Flatiron Hotel quite a few times and did not realize it was a hotel until I stayed there. The lobby is in one tiny corner and the rest of the main floor is a restaurant/bar/lounge with a giant fish tank. I got in late and checked in at about 1:30am. The front desk clerk was great and speedy. I was given room 1003 with double beds. It was actually really cute and reminded me of the Hotel Monaco in SF. The beds had cute canopies and the shower was divine! The beds were a little firmer than what I would have liked but I still slept like a log. I called the hotel earlier in the day to request non-down pillows and they were able to accommodate me. I would definitely stay there again.
