“Very impressive”

I had a wonderful stay at the Flatotel. The room I had was spacious, clean and had a beautiful large bath. I would definitely stay here again. It was close to shops/things to do but not at the heart of things which is a bonus given New York taxi drivers/drivers in general's desire to honk their car horns at any given time of the day!

This is a great Hotel that's centrally located and one of the best kept secrets in Mid- Town.

“Great hotel in Midtown”

This is a great hotel in Midtown. It's close to quite a lot of things (Central Park, 5th Ave, Rockerfeller Center, etc). Also, the rooms are more spacious than many in NYC, and have a great modern decor to them.

“Good hotel, good spot”

We really enjoyed our time at the hotel. We were upgraded on arrival from a single suite to a double suite which helped! Everything worked, the standard of room maintenance was good, and the only time we asked the reception to sort something out it was sorted out the same day with no problem. Didn't use the restaurant. Really good location. Very near the commercial theatre district and Times Sq, but not in the middle of it. Easy walking distance to a number of other locations such as 5th Avenue, the MOMA and the south side of Central Park. Plus good subway links.

“definitely going back!!!!”

All of the staff were extremely helpful and polite. We arrived too early for check-in so our bags were stored and brought to our room promptly when we came back for check in. The valet parking service was very fast. Our room and the entire hotel was clean!! The bed was so comfortable. Only 1 thing, we couldn't get the jacuzzi tub to work, but we were so tired from shopping we didn't call the front desk to inquire about it. We just took a shower and went to bed. It was a great experience! Also the location is perfect!

“Very impressed with Flatotel”

Great location, within walking distance to shows, art galleries, restaurants. Hotel room was much larger than expected and very clean. The concierge was very informative and helpful. All hotel staff were courteous. A bonus was the free continental breakfast. Would certainly return and would strongly recommend to friends.

“Large Rooms, Great Prices in NYC”

The Flatotel in midtown NYC was a wonderful find. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. The rooms were clean. But the huge and pleasant surprise was -- the rooms were very large. I had a corner room facing West. I could see all the way into New Jersey. Great sunseet views. The bathroom was of good size, the bonus here was a picture window over the bathtub. The hotel has use of the health club across the street. That too is a nice luxury. It is a ful service health club and spa.

“Good experience”

Room was great...contemporary decor, spacious and came with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and oven...so we could make our own tea/coffee anytime. Even bathrooms were quite big. Had the feel of a furnished studio condo...Perfect for our first visit. Location was awesome walking distance to times square, theatre district and great restaurants on 9th ave. The mattress was a bit hard if you dont like hard beds like me and our room was next to the elevators so we could hear periodic vibrations.

“Wonderful stay and great value”

Just returned from a trip to New York City and stayed at the Flathotel. I booked a King Deluxe room as there was a special offer going through Expedia. The room was enormous, complete with a couch, wardrobe, microwave oven, refrigerator and air-conditioner. It was quite warm in NYC, so the A/C worked brilliantly to cool the room. The bed was comfortable and perfectly clean. Location was excellent, a five minute walk and you're in Times Square. It's very close to the Ed Sullivan (The Late Show)theatre if you know your way around New Yourk. Bathroom was very clean and useable and great selection of toiletries. Wi-Fi access was available from the lobby only but this was fine for me. Reception service was great assistance for a ticketing enquiry. Yes, the lifts are a little slow and the bar is over-priced if you just need a coke but these are very minor issues. Note that my comments are for the King Deluxe room - standard rooms may not be as well furnished.

“wow what a massive room”

was shocked at the size of our room or should I say flat, 4 people stayed here with loads of space, so close to times square and radio city. room was cleaned every day and free newspaper left outside the room daily.Staff were ready to help even if they dont smile alot but that didnt stop us having the best most comfortable stay in new york. im saving already to go back again.
