Cleanliness wasn't what it should have been. Don't look at the mattresses! Very small, but expected for the city. Fairly conveniently located. No mini fridge or microwave.

Bennie and the rest of the staff are excellent! The front desk was very hospitable and accommodating to all our requests. I was very pleased. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I have no major complaints about this place. Staff was great, and very accommodating. As far as New York goes it was decently quiet. I would stay here again.

The bathrooms could have been cleaner upon arrival. There was orange shampoo in the tub. The situation was rectified. The lady at the front desk with the west Indian accent needs hospitality training.

There’s an abandoned outside seating area in front of the property that’s unkempt. The room was tight, clean but rugs worn. Two paper cups, slim soap bar, no tissues, two towels.

So dirty!
I arrived and immediately called for another room. There was hair in the shower and on the shower curtain. The room had so much dust around all of the baseboards and the furniture was so beat up! The other room they showed was the same! It was awful! I had them re-clean the bathroom, but I went to the store and bought disinfectant and cleaned the room myself. It was over the holidays and we didn't have many good options so we had to stay. We had two beds in for 3 guests and they gave us 2 towels. We had to ask for towels 4 times! They give you a bar of soap to wash your hands and it was about the size of an Andes Mint. Ridiculous.

Rooms weren’t cleaned thoroughly but were decent, microwave in the lobby was very dirty. Rooms were very small. No fridge in the room and the elevators can take a while at times as there are only 2. Location was good, close to subway stops and in a quiet area. Not a bad stay but not great either.

Good location. Cheap ish parking. Rooms were what you’d expect for NYC. There was broken trim pieces. Someone else sock was left in the room. It just gives you the hebbie jebbies. Restaurant/bar was barely ok. Messed up the order, out of burgers, chef left before fixing the order.

I only give 4 stars on the area around the property due to construction and the combination of The Rose bar entrance being in the lobby of the hotel, making it unclear where exactly the hotel was and where to enter.

I took a long weekend with my teenage kids and wanted to stay somewhere walkable to many things. This was the place! With a few exceptions, we could walk to most things easily, safely, with plenty to see in between. And if you were going to take the subway, several stations are very close by. A couple grocery stores too. Downtown New York is never quiet so I did use earplugs and had a great sleep (bed is very comfortable). Our room was very clean, very comfortable and the staff very always courteous and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
