Pros: Everything
Everything just as expected. Nice and big rooms, great service for all the guests. Concierge more than helpful with all the reservations at restaurants and shows requested.

Four Seasons Manhattan not be worth the cost.

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: Close to several main attractions including Guggenheim Museum, Central Park, Metropolitan Museum, Theater District, Times Square, etc.
Cons: Room furnishings/decor a bit tired/worn, room price did not reflect excellence nor good value. Bose stereo had malfuntioning CD player.
Location: Central Park, Madison Ave. Shopping, Museums, Theater district nearby.
We expected to have our expectations met or exceeded, but were a bit disappointed; however, the staff was exceptional. The "City View" room consisted mostly of rooftops of neighboring buildings. Room decor was nice but not exceptional. Lobby Bar was closed for renovations. Cigarette burn in the carpet. Chipped enamel sink. Stains on upholstered furniture. Well worn leather chairs. Beds were comfortable. Mechanical drapes nice convenience. Expected "excellence" but experienced only "pretty good." No complimentary bottled water. Premium Internet connection was extra cost. Generally, at this price point, did not expect to find so many flaws and extra costs in the hotel room. Concierge-reccommended restaurant (Arlingtion Club) was very expensive, less than spectacular food, noisy and further away than advertised.

Go for the luxury, stay for Ed

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: Great rooms. Great Service. Great doorman Ed.
Cons: Choice of regular pillows.
Location: Great shopping, restaurants, Central Park.
The hotel was immaculate, the room was large and the entire staff was attentive. The area is in a very posh part of town and doesn't have the best access to the subway, if you want to get around NYC cheaper. Staying at the Four Seasons, subway access probably isn't that important unless you want a real New York experience. That said, you probably could get similar rooms at other high end motels. What you won't get is the fantastic doorman Ed. He is the epitome of a luxury hotel employee. He was a doorman and concierge in one. Helpful from the start, he knew everything we were doing on our trip and made the greatest recommendations for the area we were going. We loved a lot about this hotel, but Ed is what made our experience special and the extra price worth paying. He knows his city inside out and keenly recognizes the needs of different guests. I heard him make very different recommendations to guest very different than us. He just made the trip -- he made it worth the extra cost. Rooms wonderful. Staff wonderful. Location great. But, still, go for the luxury, but stay for Ed. Rowdy and Shonda

Nice hotel, excellent location

Pros: Location in heart of NYC, Staff
Cons: Hotel needs refresh so as rooms.
Location: Everything is very close, all NYC things to see are in 5-10 minutes of walking distance, perfect for shopping, Central Park 3 minutes away.
Great staff, concierge very helpful, great restaurant recommendation, true Four Seasons hospitality. Excellent location. Hotel and rooms definitely need refresh. Despite that i was very satisfied with my stay.
