“New Year's Eve”

Overall, excellent service, superb facilities. The only off notes : 1. Hostile security late at night. Guessing the staff asking to see your keys before allowing you on the elevator gets much negative feedback from offended guests. Can't they figure out a nicer way of doing this, something less stressful to both staff and guests? 2. Absolute worst New Year's Eve band I've heard in my life.

The concierge desk was amazing. Every recommendation was spot on! The hotel is great. The people are amazing.

Staff could not have been nicer and more helpful all round. It was a pleasure to walk in and be greeted by smiling faces and pleasant attitudes. The concierge service was excellent - friendly and helpful. They seemed to go out of their way to suggest restaurants and things to do in various parts of the city. The only area we were not totally enamored with was the TY Lounge. It was just a little too staid atmosphere for us, and the wine list included only a limited selection by the glass - we like Sauvignon Blanc, but strangely no New Zealand brands on offer - only a Russian River. I'm sure it would have been nice, but not nice enough for $30 a glass or $135 for the bottle.

The concierge service was amazing, with last minute reservations and grew tips. All recommendations were very effective.

Clearly superior hotel with attentive service and proud staffs. Treat you as special. Compares favourably with Peninsula, Plaza Athenee, Ritz Carlton. My favourite amongst the list. Clearly not the newest but imposing lobby. Well kept but dated room. Excellent bath and shower. Torrential shower pressure! Walk in robe.

“Fantastic hotel”

One of the best hotel rooms I've seen in NYC. Large, clean, comfortable furniture. Staff was superb and very accommodating. All recommendations from the concierge were right on and fabulous. We will definitely go back if we can find more Expedia deals.
