Uns wurde erklärt das es generel keine Doppelzimmer gibt obwohl es laut Bilder u. Beschreibung bei der Buchung auf ihrer Internetseite eigentlich so ausgesehen hat (3 Monate vorher gebucht).

Close but no cigar...

Pros: I think the only thing we would say that was good was it was close to the airport and offered shuttle service
Not sure it was the hotel's fault or Expedia but when we arrived after a very long flight from Bergen, Norway, we found that we were being charged a different amount than what we had signed up for back in February. The front desk person said we had not paid for the room when in fact we had. She ended contacting Expedia and found we had, in fact, pre-paid. The area of the hotel was a little disconcerting and a very loud and foul argument was going on in the lobby. There was also a problem the next morning when the shuttle driver didn't materialize for the 5am shuttle that was advertised as running every half hour. The young girl Robbie at check in was pleasant as was the man who was covering the desk in the morning. He nicely called in an extra person to get us and one other guest to the airport

Nice hotel close to airport

The front desk staff was very nice when I checked in at 3am. The room was quiet and neat, although a bit small. It's very close to the airport so I didn't have to get up early to catch my flight. The free parking was actually street parking with plenty of spots available, just need to do a parallel parking. It was a little disappointing that the room didn't have a fridge but it didn't affect my overall feeling about this hotel. I'll reserve it again next time I'm there.

Hotel Stay

Pros: The hotel was very clean and looked opulent. The hotel served a complimentary breakfast in their lobby eating area. They closed at 10:00 am.
Cons: I think it was a bit scary to see so many young people walking in and going down the hall way as if they were going to a party.
Location: Very close to the airport but not a good location to visit the city.
This is a very beautiful hotel. The floors are marble in appearance with lots of copper trimming. The staff was very attentive while the hotel was going through a problem with their key system. The manager personally walked us to our rooms and opened the door for us because the card keys could not be used that night. There seemed to be a lot of very young people walking into the hotel as if they were going to a party down the hall of the first floor. There was a private security group that stationed themselves there so I knew something was going on. We booked a very small room with a queen bed and bathroom which is all we needed as it was a one night emergency stay. We paid a fair price for a cramped room which was all we needed. The manager suggested a few places that would deliver our very late night dinner. He called them when he noticed we were still waiting for our delivery. Under the stress of having the key system down the manager did his best to keep everybody happy. The clientele was an eclectic group ranging from out of country families to domestic tourists. The location was very close to JFK airport which was the selling point. This hotel would not be a place to stay if your are visiting NYC but for an over night stay to catch a plane it was perfect.

The gentlemen at the desk was pleasant. Breakfast was not available until 7 and they didn't even have coffee available in the lobby. They were able to have coffee and breakfast available for a men's group by 6:30. Would not stay again.

Nice hotel near JFK

Hotel and front desk service were really good. It's very near to JFK airport with shuttle service starting from early morning 4.00 AM (every 30 minutes). Standard room size was comparatively smaller but overall it's good and comfortable.
