Central New York HotelPosted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: location and its modern and buzzy feel in the lobby.
Location: location was great and easy walking distance to quite a few sites and being next door to Grand central station is convenient for subway.
Wonderfully located between Chrsyler Building and Grand Central Station. Room was great. we used free Wi-Fi in the lobby to catch up. Concierge/front desk v helpful

Elegant and VERY Convenient LocationPosted Sep 8, 2014
Excellent location. Very convenient especially since we came into the City from CT by train. Rooms small but elegantly decorated. Plenty of elevators so no wasting time waiting for one. Helpful staff. Only downside is that no tub in bath, only a shower. My wife complained. I didn’t care.

Ok hotel in very busy locationPosted Sep 8, 2014
The hotel is ok, we stayed there to be close to transport links. The staff were helpful, and there is a 24 hour coffee shop in the lobby which is good. Room facilities were average. The area is very busy (even for NY), and it was difficult to get cabs: they really struggled to get us a cab to the airport, and eventually put us in a "hotel car", the price of which kept going up as we got later. We thought it might actually be easier being near Grand Central, but that was not the case.

Centrally located close to all attractions in NYCPosted Sep 7, 2014
Elegant lobby, nice restaurant on premises, Grand Central Station next door, 5th Ave, Bryant Park, Times Square minutes away. Great help desk, concierge, well organized. I was in NY for the U.S. open (tennis), hotel was a host to USTA and U.S. open junior players. Shuttle to the stadium and back was with the Official Sponsor of the event-Mercedes, parked at the hotel! Overall great experience!

Great location but would benefit from a poolPosted Aug 27, 2014
I selected the Grand Hyatt for its central location. The standard of accomodation and range of facilities is very good, though it would benefit from having a pool. Our room wasn't ready on arrival which was an inconvenience.

Great location and helpful staff.Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Location was great for the types of things we wanted to do.
Location: Close to Empire State Building, Time Square, Shopping, Grand Central Station.
Great location; walking distance to many attractions and easy access to subway for everything else. We didn't spend much time in our room, but it was clean and in good condition. Somewhat small, but typical for NY standards. Hotel staff was great; very friendly and helpful. Concierge provided us with good recommendations and directions. Overall, good place to stay if you want to be in the midst of a lot of activity.
