Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: All.
Cons: Nothing
Location: All. Fifth Ave, shopping, good restaurants
This is the 5. year staying in this hotel one week a year. Year by year more and more fascination. In the middle of the middle of Manhattan. Rooms o.k. Breakfast fine. Hotel inside cool.

Perfect for connecting with family

Our daughter rode the train into the city to meet us, so it was a perfect location to meet up with her, and then head out for dinner or shopping!

Fantastic location, close to attractions

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Quite, clean tidy and comfortable.
Cons: A sense of customer care at reception - feels alittle like an office reception area
Location: Genuinely Too many to mention specifically - all we can say is that we don't think there could be a better more centrally located location.
Fabulous experience in a fabulous city, would recommend it to anyone. A true 'world city', kind and polite people and a constant sense of security in a city that's reputation is sometimes to the contrary. We certainly won't forget the sights, sounds, smells and experiences the stay gave us when we went to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.

Mattress must have been bought during the Nixon administration. You better be patient if you want hot water. It took about 10 minutes to heat up.

Do not stay here!

Posted Oct 30, 2014
The rooms are very small. The light switches are impossible to work out. The sheets are thred bare. The staff are slow and often don't know what they are doing. The doormen are ratty and expect tips for just opening doors. We paid for a late check out but got locked out of our rooms by our key cards then we're not aloud back in as we didn't have ID because everything was in our room. We were treated like criminals by security. The whole process took over an hour at which time we didn't have enough time to change etc ready for our flight. The only positive about this hotel is the location.

Lacking, Disappointing

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Checked in early no problem, as well as location
Cons: Staff Courteousness and Friendliness, Cleanliness of hotel
Location: Grand Central Terminal close to jump on trains, as well as good mid-town location to walk a radius that has alot of attractions
The location and the fact that they let us check in early is the only good things about this hotel. We booked a club room, which was subpar, the Club staff members were unfriendly and hospitable and not helpful. The shower curtain was covered in mildew and mold, and I asked the Club conceirge to call and have it changed, after being aggravated that I was speaking to him he did call, but to our dismay when we got back to our room later that night it still had not been changed. I had to call back 3 times in order to get housekeeping to come up and change it, even though they said each time that they would be right up. They took so long I had to go ahead and put my little girl to bed, but when the housekeeper got there, he knocked but did not wait for us to answer the door, and barged in turning all the lights on and banging the door, with barely an apology when he saw me standing there. He woke up my little girl, and took 45 min to change a hookless shower curtain, being extremely loud. Needless to say, this Hyatt stay was the worst one I've been to, especially for the price. The quality an d friendliness of staff I might as well have been at a 2star hotel.
