I didn't stay here because they overbooked.Posted Apr 16, 2015
They over booked the hotel and aent me to a different one. They told me I would be refunded but i havent seen any of my money back yet. Sent me to Hyatt Times square, where the staff was much more friendly! I will just book there next time.

Not too friendly!Posted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: Clean and subways just downstairs.
Cons: Better manners! To everyone!
Location: Subway and lots to eats at central subway.
As a Asian they were not too friendly! When other majority people ask ? They smile and have manners. Don't get me wrong, they were some very nice manner employees. Room were clean but noise. I was at 29th floor. You could hear a lot of traffic going though.

In the heart of the actionPosted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: A professionally run hotel that works hard to answer your questions and help you in anyway that they can.
Cons: -Improved cable channel including ESPN, CNN, Discovery channel & more HD channels. -General upkeep of room
Location: In Midtown close to everything in that part of town and within steps of a cab stand and subway to get to other parts of town.
The Grand Hyatt is located within short walking distance of a lot of New York hotspots (Times square, Grand Central Terminal, The New York Public library, the Chrysler Building and Rockefeller center) The hotel is a very busy place with professional staff. Overall the experience was great. The one draw back was the TV stations available, they did not get basic channels like ESPN, CNN and many more basic cable regulars and had a low definition and choppy HBO. I understand that most don't go to New York to watch TV but to sell yourself as an upscale hotel while lacking basic channels that flea bag motor inns get in HD in 2015 is ridiculous. I stayed in a Club level room and it was large by New York standards. The room was nice but showed a fair amount of wear (damaged and marked wood floor, chips in the desk and night stands and very loose towel hook and toilet paper holder ) They recently began to offer free wifi and it was worked well.

Great Midtown locationPosted Apr 13, 2015
The Grand Hyatt is located in the heart of midtown with near direct access to Grand Central terminal. The hotel has been recently updated and is kept in nice condition. The rooms are on the smaller side, but this is very typical New York.

Great location.Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Best bits - location, size of room and cleanliness.
Cons: Maybe could be a bit more welcoming.
Location: Positioned in between Grand Central station and the Chrysler building. Only a short walk from Times Square (10 mins) and very near 5th Avenue..
The hotel was ideal for us regarding location. The room was a good size, very clean. Our room was opposite the lifts so was noisy at times. The reception area doesn't have any atmosphere however, as it's designed for people using it as a base for sight seeing it suited us. Good value for money too.
