Breakfast was disappointing. I wouldn't stay there again.

Pros: The staff was great, the rooms clean and comfortable, but the reason we stayed here was because of its proximity to the airport.
Very convenient to Newark Airport, with very accommodating and helpful staff, particularly the courtesy van driver.

Convenient airport locationPosted May 4, 2015
It was a great experience overall the only concern it was the hotel shuttle. They should consider the guests while they are driving especially with small guests.

Mostly great experiences from our two nights therePosted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Ramon the shuttle driver. Like a tour guide, Ramon was friendly and helpful. Also the manager was willing to accommodate our shuttle needs.
Cons: More shuttle service for peak hours.Airport wait our first night was long & It is not fun to elbow out other passengers to get on. Stressful.
Group of 10 people booked overnight between flights. The front desk recommended we start trying to board the shuttle at 4:00 AM in order to be at the airport by 6:00. High demand for a shuttle that holds 12 and she could not guarantee all 10 of us could get on. Ultimately the manager came through for us and got a 2nd driver for the 2nd shuttle so we could be guaranteed seats at 5 AM. We were very pleased with the final solution, but not so happy with the resistance we had from the lady at the front desk before she agreed to call the manager. I dont have stamina for that much conflict especially at 11 PM after a long day of travel, and if my boss hadn't been there to continue to respectfully disagree with her, I would definitely have given up. We appreciate the manager. We stayed again on return of the same trip and since our flight arrived earlier in the evening, we were able to go out to dinner thanks to the very helpful shuttle driver Ramon who shuttled us to a nearby cafe...that's great service from a hotel!

If you don't use a lot of electricity, this is a 5Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: Value for the price, cleanliness, room comfort.
Cons: The electrical hook-ups! Using the microwave apparently set off the circuit-breaker in the power cord. So I had to shut other things off to use it.
Location: Not too many good things about the location. Ugly. And "nearby" is relative.
Very nice hotel for the price, despite the circuitous route (and deplorably maintained roads!) to get there. Staff minimally courteous but efficient. Elevators were a rather long walk (partially up-ramp) from lobby, better accessed from two outside doors connecting two sides of the parking lot. The room was immaculate (king bed w/nice coverlet, 4 pillows, couch, coffee table, desk w/comfortable chair, bureau, TV, fridge, microwave, coffee-maker with usual coffee, paper cups, ice bucket, large bathroom, plenty of thick towels, nice selection of usual bath amenities, grab-bars on two walls of tub, play station board, TV remote, alarm clock, phone), and fairly large, amply draped window provided wide view of surroundings, including a city skyline. Problems or deficiencies. No in-house restaurant, no room-service, and no fast-food within walking distance. I was told that I could walk to the Renaissance next door for dinner but found that that entailed walking around perimeter fences (rather than through what could have been a very convenient gate between the two) and on a very active street. I drove to the Renaissance, told the gatekeeper I was going to dinner, got a receipt, parked, walked to the restaurant and waited 15 minutes for a take-out pizza and Caesar salad ($30 with tip to the bartender). Because the Hampton & the Renaissance are on a one-way road, I had to drive in a large circle (2 miles+) on the worst roads I've ever seen back to the Hampton.
