“very good value and location”

We were close enough to Times Square and broadway area, the hotel was veru clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent. It was nice to arrive and have hot coffe and tea available 24 hrs. Very good recommendation!!

Ratings are always relative, so I did it based on what you expect x what you get. The hotel is clean, has a nice full breakfast (quite crowded though) included in the daily rate and is perfectly located just few block from many of the top Manhattan atractions. The free wi-fi works perfectly, the staff is competent and friendly. It is well above average when you compare with Hotels nearby at the same rate.

Needles to say: Times Square, Broadway Theaters, The Central Park, Rockfeller Center... you name it!

“Excellent hotel in a great location !!!”

My family and I stayed at the Hampton Inn Times Square North during four nights. The hotel staff was very polite and the overall experience was excellent. The neighborhood was very nice and Times Square was a short walk away (ten minutes). A metro station was just around the corner. The breakfast was OK. We would definitely stay at the Hampton Inn again. Since four days in New York is not enough, we'll be returning soon for at least five more days. I trully recommend this hotel for travellers with young kids. We went on Thanksgiving week and the weather was excellent (40-60's).

“2nd visit to NYC - 2nd stay in Hotel”

Great location, easy walk to theaters , Times Square and Subway entrance (for A-C-E ) at 50th/51st, Excellent self serve breakfast, tea and coffee available 24/7 in the Lobby area, Rates can change quickly so be a smart online shopper.

“Wonderfully located, reasonable prices.”

Friendly staff, wonderful location, this hotel has everything a guest can expect from a hotel in this category, plus a very convenient fitness room and an excellent breakfast service.

Area recommendations

The rectangle formed by 6th and 8th ave. and 58th and 50th streets. Proximity of Central Park, theaters, Museums, and an amazing quantity of good restaurants.

“Tremendous value”

This is the kind of spacious, comfortable, and smartly furnished room that would be standard in any other city, but in midtown New York, at this price point, it's almost too good to be true. We stayed on a Sunday night, when the rates were low. The room was contemporary business-class style. The complimentary breakfast included eggs, meat and waffles. There was a fresh coffee station available 24 hours. The location was perfect. This was our best hotel experience in NYC by a longshot. We will return, again and again.

“Fire Alarm was only disappointment”

The hotel was nice and comfortable for the most part. The only down side was that at 12:40am, the fire alarm went off twice due to the water being turned off. The hotel said sorry and nothing else for the disturbance was offered. I work for a hotel and I have had this issue and I always compensate our guests. The only disappointment.

“Definitely stay again!”

I had read reviews about several hotels in various chains. This hotel did not have a single bad review. Every review was positive. So I booked it. My husband and I loved it. GREAT LOCATION: close to subway entrance, walking distance to theaters, Central Park and other attractions as well as Gray LIne tour bus. Close also to a variety of bars, restaurants, drug stores in case you forget something. Felt very safe in the neighborhood. Hotel was quiet. The room was a good size and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is coffee and tea available 24 hours a day. Cookies are baked at 3pm and available to all. Breakfast room is large and bright. They have the usual patries, bagels, cereals as well as two hot items...some kind of eggs and meat....as well as make them yourself waffles. 3 kinds of juice...milk, fresh cut up fruit and apples and bananas. Couldn't ask for more. We loved the hotel and would recommend it to everyone.

“looking forward to a return trip”

the location and facilities were great. had everything were great. only problem was the breakfast room was always crowded and no room for us to sit and eat the breakfast. had to go out and find a place to eat outside the hotel and pay for breakfast.
