Average sort of place!Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Most people liked the 'free' breakfast. I found it far too crowded!!
Location: Really good location for theatres etc
It is fine if you want a basic hotel but beware the walls really are very thin - and also don't go for a low floor at the front as the traffic noise from 8th Avenue could prevent you from sleeping

Very good place to stayPosted Mar 2, 2014
Pros: Central location and friendly staff.
Cons: My room was cold and the bathroom had an icy blast of air. The thermostat was set at 84 degrees but the room was still cold. Took 3 days to resolve.
Location: Central location within easy walking distance of Times Square and Broadway. Easy access to shopping and subway/bus terminal.
I had a lovely stay at the Hampton Inn North, Times Square. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The hotel was within easy walking distance of Broadway and Times Square.

Theater District HotelPosted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Location, friendliness of staff, cleanliness, good mattress and clean fresh sheets and duvets on the comforters. The breakfast is from 7 to 10 :30
Cons: More blankets in the extreme weather NYC had that week. Truly adjustable heating unit again because of the extreme cold that week
Location: One block from Broadway theaters, drug store, parking garage, coffee shop, Good Simple French restaurant on 51st street. OK diner across the strees
Check in time is 3 PM. I arrived at 2 but was not permitted an early check in. as I have had at other Hilton/Hampton Hotels. The room was large for NYC. 5th floor facing 8th avenue. Not at all noisy. double drapes and looked like one window panel could be opened. Too cold, mid teens, to find out. Room was clean with plenty of individual light sources Could read in several spots Desk with good desk char and an Arm chair with ottoman. The bathroom is small but adequate, plenty of towels, water was not excessively hot as in too my places. Although the thermostat said 70 degrees the room was chilly especially near the large windows . There is a programmed individual heating unit ./. Could not adjust for increased heat. At bed time bed near the windows was extremely cold. Only one extra blanket which I used But it took a long time to get warm enough to sleep well. Breakfast is included in the charges. Elevators were fast

NYC tripPosted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: We found nothing to dislike.
Location: This was the theatre/Times Square district - are you kidding?
This trip was as near perfection as possible. I hesitate to rate anything at the highest number because that sounds grandiose, however, I would be hard pressed to think of any deficiencies in this hotel.

Good quality, good value near Times SquarePosted Feb 25, 2014
We rely on Hampton Inns on most trips and have never been disappointed. This was no exception. Great price using Expedia. Clean room, fresh coffee on demand in the lobby, apples, breakfast in the morning, and very conveniently located next to the theater district.

Nice hotel with spacious rooms.Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Free coffee making facilities, hot chocolate was very nice. Hotel was in a great position just off Times Square.
Cons: Although this hotel offers free hot breakfast we were unable to take advantage of this as there were never any tables available, it was always busy.
Location: Excellent location, not far from Times Square.
This hotel is very conveniently positioned for sight seeing. The rooms are spacious and clean, although could do with a bit of updating. There were four of us in our room and it was plenty big enough. The free coffee/ hot chocolate facility in reception was lovely, also free cookies in the afternoon. The staff were all very friendly.

Great hotel.Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: It was in a very good location. Very easy access to many of the sites. A short walk or a cab ride got us there with very little difficulty.
Cons: The elevator service was a little slow because they were performing maintenance on one of the elevators.
Location: The location was excellent. A few blocks from Central Park in one direction and a few blocks from Times Square in the other direction.
The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean.
