A comfortable oasis in a great locationPosted Oct 18, 2014
We were in NYC for a week to see some shows and tour the sights. It was our second time in NYC and second time at the Hampton Inn Times Square North. The fact that we booked here a second time is a good indication how much we enjoyed it the first time. We had an even better room this time, 10th floor, large, with a great view. The staff is very pleasant, professional and accommodating. The bed was outstandingly comfortable, with high quality, very clean linens. We toured all over Manhattan, and found the hotel easy to get to from everywhere. The fact that it is on a main subway line is very convenient.

Extremely comfortable and spacious roomsPosted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: Comfort, friendliness and location
Location: Location, Location, Location is everything and for us this was it.
A very pleasant stay in New York City our first return in 30 years and we absolutely loved it, so different from our previous experience and the hotel is so conveniently located for Broadway, Times Square, Top of the Rock and Central Park all 10 mins or less away.

New York adventuresPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: the staff
Cons: need to find a way to facilitate early check in. Breakfast room is crowded.
Location: Close to Broadway Theatre and shopping. The staff can help with finding things to do, getting tickets, directions, best transportation to use, etc.
We were in New York for a festival. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast included in the stay was good but the breakfast room was very crowded and it took a while to get through it. We arrived early (only flight we could get). We had to wait to check in. The hotel checked our bags and we went sightseeing for a few hours until they had our rooms ready. The hotel is a few blocks from Times Square and within walking distance of a lot of major attractions. The standout for me was the friendly and relaxed attitude of the staff. We even got some helpful directions from one of their cleaning staff. I would definitely stay there again.

Very conveniently situated hotelPosted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: Good breakfast included in the overall cost. Complimentary lunch bags provided...a nice touch and very welcome. Good location Spacious rooms
Cons: The breakfast room was far too cold There were frequent longish waits for the lifts....not enough of them, only two.
Location: Only just over a block away from a subway station. Walking distance to Times Square, Broadway and theatres, Central Park, Rockafeller Centre
We had an enjoyable stay at the Hampton Inn which overall was a nice hotel, well situated, little traffic noise at night. We thought the buffet breakfast provided each morning was good with a choice of hot and cold food although the breakfast room was far too cold which spoilt our enjoyment of the breakfast somewhat. The take away lunch bags were also appreciated.

Handy Hotel for City Break or CruisePosted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, great breakfast.
Cons: I can't think of a single thing that needs improving!
Location: On 8th Ave so handy for theatre, sight-seeing, entertainment, bars/cafes,transport
We sayed here for 4 nights before our cruise from New York to Bermuda. The underground station is right beside the hotel, times square/broadway theatres a stonesthrow away. All major sights and Central Park are easy walking distance. We had a clean, spacious room looking onto 8th Ave and a great hot/cold breakfast with free coffee/tea/hot choc available all day. Excellent facilities. I can't praise this hotel enough. When we were leaving to go to the cruise terminal I was shocked that it only cost $8 for the taxi. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
