Nice, affordable place to stay in Manhattan

Posted Dec 20, 2014
Staff was nice and friendly, breakfast was great! Rooms were a hotel room, but the beds were comfortable (I slept like a baby!), and rooms and hotel were kept clean and neat. Short walk to Times Square. Close subway access with direct train to the 9/11 Memorial.

Not in Times Square

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: The Staff was very nice.
Cons: Everything but the employees
This Hotel is very old and needs much updating and care. The staff was very nice and accommodating. This Hotel is much closer to Hells Kitchen than it is Times Square. I was able to hear not only all the cars and sirens outside but also the screaming and fighting of people on the streets each night. I was very disappointed when we got there that not only did we not get the King Study we had reserved but that this hotel was advertising as it was in Times Square which it was not. I would not stay here again. Alaina

Super place to stay in NYC

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: It seemed really homey and friendly, not opulent and cold. I liked that there was a room safe with a key.
Location: Very convenient to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Central Park. A lot of walking... but hey, it's NYC!!
On duty manager greeted us. He was very nice and friendly with a great smile. Said hi to us anytime we saw him. Received complimentary bottles of water when we checked in, and were given additional bottles any time we asked. Coffee/hot chocolate/hot tea available any time. Apples available anytime. Room was clean and nice. I thought the room was more spacious than at other hotels I've stayed at in the city. Really quiet, even though we were near the elevators. Little to no wait time on the elevators. Complimentary breakfast was usual per any Hampton Inn I've stayed at before. Food was fresh and replenished quickly. Plenty of room in the breakfast area and didn't feel rushed or that someone was hovering waiting for our seats.

Great Location

Posted Dec 12, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness and the spacious rooms
Cons: Not a Thing!
Location: Right in Times Square...EVERYTHING is outside the front door.
The Hampton is right in the center of Times Square and easy to get to EVERYWHERE! The hotel is clean and spacious. I was really surprised at the size of the rooms. There were 7 of us and the staff was very accommodating to provide rooms side by side. A free Continental Breakfast in NYC.....unheard of! But not at the Hampton. There were 4 young adults with our group who loved breakfast, 24 hour coffee and hot chocolate. This is our 4th time to NYC at Christmas and the 4th different hotel we stayed in. Without question, the Hampton Times Square will be the hotel I choose next time. Thanks for making this trip even better.

Pros: Location was great. Felt very safe.
Location: Great location near many restaurants. Just a few blocks from most everything.
Wonderful experience. We were able to walk to many attractions including Times Square, theaters and restaurants. We were in late most nights and felt very comfortable in the location and with hotel staff. Close to subway.
