Make sure you don't show up at the wrong hotel

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Quiet room
Location: Great location, the block is filled with flower/plant vendors which made it all the more garden like.
There are 5 Hilton Garden Inns in Manhattan. Two of which are in close proximity. Accidentally went to the wrong one and I was told at the front desk they couldn't look up my information to see which location I had booked a room at. My phone had died, so I couldn't look up my confirmation myself! It seems ridiculous they couldn't help.

Nice hotel construction nearby

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Clean small room, had kerug, fridge.
Location: Lots of construction, far from Times Square.
Friendly staff: Arrived before 3:00pm check-in, hotel front desk offered to watch our luggage and call our cell when room was available. They called 4 hrs before the 3:00pm check-in which was very nice. Nice friendly bartender and front desk.

Great location in heart of Manhattan

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Walking distance to Chelsea and Flatiron. Conveniently located to 28th street subway stations for 1 and N, R lines. Rooms reasonably sized.
Location: Highline, Chelsea pier, Flatiron, and Herald Square within walking distance. Times Square just 2 subway stops away
Normally stay in the Central Park South area but decided to try this one because of its proximity to Chelsea (although a little outside of Chelsea). Rooms were nice and typical Manhttan size (small but not tiny). Happy to discover both a Starbucks and Panera around the corner so we avoided the pricey breakfast buffet. All in all, a good hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Large room great location

Posted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: Great value, location, good size for 2 travelers
Cons: Complimentary water in the lobby
Location: Close to shopping, lots of restaurants, subway - very central location if you are looking to visit Chelsea, SoHo & the village
I have nothing negative to say about our experience. The room was by far the largest I have stayed in Manhattan with a reasonable rate. We stayed in a standard king room. Plenty of space for 2 people with 2 suitcases of clothes. It was clean but no frills, and housekeeping did a great job. Bathroom was large & the shower was good. The bed was very comfortable. The location is prime. Subway stations very close in proximity, but we mostly walked to all of our destinations in west village, Greenwich village and SoHo. Beyond the room, the hotel doesn't have much to speak of. Hotel bar is very small and seemed to be closed or no bartender most of the time - not that it matters as I see no reason to be drinking or eating at the hotel while in NYC. Lobby is also very small but they serve complimentary coffee & tea & cookies at night, although pitchers of ice water would have been nice. All of the staff was very nice & accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice area in Chelsea

Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: The location, free Wi-Fi and price - very good value.
Location: Walked to Chelsea Piers (it was cold) for a brunch ship tour of the southwestern tip of Manhattan, and went to an off-Broadway play in Union Square.
We chose this hotel based on value. The price was the weighted heaviest since NYC hotel prices can be absurd. The hotel was a short 2 min walk to one subway and 6 min to another. In NYC with the weather being so cold, gotta ride the subway and minimize your walking. The area has a friendly neighborhood feel, unlike what you get from Times Square (been there done that). Hotel also has dining, a small bar and a pantry for snacks and toiletries. Friendly staff too!!!!!!
