Hilton Garden Inn Midtown

Posted Sep 16, 2014
This hotel was fine. We don't have anything bad or excellent to say. Close walking distance to many sights and the subway. If you're looking for a place to sleep this is your place, it was clean and the staff were very nice. But if you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway I'd recommend another location.

NYC Hotel - Location, location, location

Posted Sep 16, 2014
For my visit to NYC, this hotel was perfectly located. After my arrival @ Penn Station I easily avoided the trouble and expense of a cab ride by walking to the hotel. For the event I was there to attend @ Madison Square Gardens, I walked again. I needed a shirt, and Macy's was across the street; Broadway and Times Square were a little further uptown, but still, too close to require a cab. Empire State Building?? Yeah, just up the street! The beds were comfortable and clean, the rooms quiet, w/o street noise and the hotel staff were congenial and helpful. George @ the front desk was very helpful and we enjoyed our time there.

Nice hotel, good location

Nice location, close to Madison square garden, subways, Macy's and Empire State Building. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel lobby is nice, has a bar with a tv to hang out, serves good drinks. Would stay here again. Also happy with the luggage storage. Also could see Empire State Building from my window.

Great view

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Everything
Location: empire state building
Our experience was great from the moment we stepped into the Lobby. The staff was attentive and courteous. Even though we arrived one hour before check in, we were taken care of immediately by a young woman named Tameka. The view of the Empire State Building was magnificent. The room was small but well appointed. There was a microwave and a fridge. Great for storing drinks and snacks. This location was perfect for getting around town. The seating area outside was a great place to sit and watch the world go by or hail a cab. The shopping just around the corner was excellent. We were able to buy gifts for our friends and family. Overall this hotel was a excellent choice on my part. We would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Convenient location

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Convenient location and really helpful concierge staff.
Cons: Elevators were really slow to arrive and sometimes were full so had to wait for the next one. Sometimes one was out of order which didn't help.
Location: Location is great - close to a subway station but also not too far to walk to Times Square. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week in August 2014. It is a really convenient location and was ideal for what we wanted. The room was quite small (had to put one suitcase in the wardrobe as it didn't fit anywhere else in the room) but we were out most of the time.

Good value hotel in mid town

Posted Aug 19, 2014
This is a good value hotel for NYC. The rooms are quite small but they are well maintained and the bed was very comfy. The top floors ( 20) are higher than the building across the street so they have a more open view and are less oppressive. Staff at the desk were very helpful. I would stay again.

centrally located.. great for visitors

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: nice and comfortable room. pleasant and polite staff. centrally located.
Cons: besides helping customers to get tour tickets, should try to help get theatre tickets.
Location: as above
the room is a surprise with all the necessary facilities such as coffee bar, mini safe, dryer, iron and board, lots of pillows and full toileteries. centrally located, close to macy, subway entrance, empire buiiding and time square, etc.
