Great Hotel

Fantastic hotel close to Times Square. Great location. Rooms are quite big for NY and very comfortable. When we arrived our room was not ready but they gave us two breakfast vouchers for a full breakfast for the inconvenience. Would definately stay here again.

ok hotel in excellent location

Excellent location although street noise was a problem. Managed to move rooms after 2 nights to room at front of hotel which was slightly better. Rooms quite a squeeze for a family of four.

Dissapointing!

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: Location is good
Cons: Fix the ceiling Change the old Duvet Covers and Sheets. Change the old Herman Miller Mirra Chair.
I had a great expectation about this hotel for my short 3 nights stay in NY. Rooms are vert small, you can't even walk from one side of the room to the other when crossing the bed without hitting with a very old Herman Miller Mirra Chair which I think is too big for the room. On one part of the ceiling it was humid so the material had mildew and looked very gross (Attached picture). But what really made my stay worst was that the first morning the I wanted to rest until 9 am after a 12 hours trip, the cleaning staff at the hotel scream at each other across the hall which it was crazy. Since rooms are so small, you can almost hear anything they loudly speak, so this did not gave me the rest that I was looking for. This situation was repeated every day.

Great location!

Posted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Times Square, other attractions, subway.
Cons: Turn room 229 into a closet! No one paying good money would be happy with this room!
Location: Heart of theatres, restaurants, and Times Square. Felt very safe walking around at night.
First night room was a major disappointment. Limited moving around space in double queen room. "View" was the hotel's roof air conditioning units. We asked for a change. Bags were moved into a different room on the 3rd floor while we were out the next day. Much better - more room and street view. Not luxurious hotel by any stretch of the imagination, but clean and adequate for a place to rest and sleep. Within easy walking distance of many attractions and subway. Staff very pleasant, although not jovial! On a budget, we would stay again.

Great theatre district hotel.

Pros: Location and friendly staff, nice rooms.
Cons: Can't escape the street noise, but that's Manhattan.
Perfect location and friendly staff for exploring Times Square and theater-going. One block over is Times Square and most of the theaters are within walking distance.

Nice location with friendly staff

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: The location, everything from shops to restaurants was in walking distance.
Cons: I was a little upset that a credit card hold for the total amount of the stay had to be provided. I wanted to pay cash and that wasnt an option.
Location: Shop, eat, if you're a drinker there are neighborhood bars or places in Times Square that offer Happy Hour specials.
Very pleased with my stay. Check in was fast and easy, my room was ready on time and thoroughly cleaned. I got a nice view of the city, beds were cozy and clean. Staff was very helpful and attentive.

Centrally located

Cons: Friendlier main lobby staff.
Just a block off the main Time Square area. So not as busy as those located in the immediate Time Square area. Parking is just right around the corner so no need for valet parking. A lot to like for this hotel compared to the others around.

Great hotel for shopping and sightseeing in NYC

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: Loved the handy location which made sightseeing pretty easy. Our room was quiet and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room has a coffee machine but I'd prefer a basic kettle with tea bags and coffee packages.
Location: Take in a show at one of the nearby theatres. The Hershey and M+M stores, Hard Rock Café and Ellen's Stardust Diner are all close to the hotel.
From our welcome at the hotel right through to departure we couldn't fault the hotel's staff, facilities or location. Our room was at the back of the hotel on the 4th floor and was a good size, well appointed and quiet. The room was very clean and the towels were plentiful. Nice welcome basket on arrival which was a lovely surprise. The hotel was very handy for the Gershwin Theatre where we saw the fabulous Wicked. Please don't miss Ellen's Stardust Diner just up from the hotel where the food is great and the staff sing to you - they should be in the Broadway shows they are that good. Walk round the corner from the hotel and a street or two takes you to the heart of Times Square - couldn't have been easier. If I make it back to New York I don't think I'll look anywhere else for a hotel but return to the Hilton Garden Inn at Times Square.
