A regular hotel , with nothing remarkable. A simple restaurant with few possibilities . Dark and uncomfortable . Clean rooms but not for more than one night.

Perfect JFK layover sleep place

Pros: Ease of transport to JFK and VERY nice room!
Location: Neighborhood surrounding is rough. Cab ride was polite if a little rough around the edges when it came to road etiquette and conflict with motorists.
A 24 hour shuttle on half hour cycles, this place was THE perfect choice to sleep and then catch a morning flight from JFK. The room was extremely comfortable, staff was quite helpful. The neighborhood is NOT a place to go for a walk or a jog, regardless of race, gender,etc. Take a cab to the Jamaica train station and jump the Long Island Railroad (it is essentially a part of the subway system) for about $8.00 per person and take the direct train to Penn station if you want to see Manhattan or catch a show. Return trip can be booked on the kiosk and there is staff at the station to help. Final answer: I will make this hotel my regular rest stop for any night before I fly out of JFK from now on.

Check in was very fast and easy. The front desk was very polite and we had small talk. I felt very welcomed and comfortable during my stay. The renovation is lovely.

Cons: Transportation from the airport. Going back to the airport not a problem.
It took a VERY LONG time for the shuttle to arrive at the airport for pickup. I called twice. Other hotel shuttles came and went 2-3 times before Hilton arrived and the hotel is close by. Not good when you are arriving at night and tired!

Fine hotel close to JFK

We stayed just one night before flying out early the next morning, and it was perfect for us: close to JFK, and it had a restaurant in the hotel. Free shuttle ran every 30 mins in the a.m. Restaurant staff was very nice as was shuttle driver. Rooms are small and nothing amazing, but fine.

Sad excuse for a Hilton. MORE LIKE A TWO STAR.

Bathroom had brown mildew. Room looked like it was worn out. Bed was very uncomfortable old mattress. For the $300 we paid it is a very said excuse for a Hilton hotel. The pool which was the reason we booked this hotel over the Crowne Plaza was closed. We were told it is only open from 3 PM. Never heard this in my life having traveled all over. We checked out at 10:30 AM never being able to use the pool. We should have stayed at the Crowne Plaza next door clean fresh and less expensive. All over the world. Fantastic staff midnight to morning

Arrived at midnight, everyone from driver, desk clerk, wait staff was so upbeat, friendly and helpful. They were having fun together and getting their jobs done with a smile. The next morning we left at 7 and they were still smiling. Impressive crew!

Hotel nice....brutal restaurant service

Cons: Obviously the service in the restaurant bar
We went there after the Belmont Stakes. The bar was busy but not packed. They only had one bartender who didn't even look like he knew how to use the register. We ordered a filet with a crabcake appetizer. After 1/2 an hour we inquired about the carb cake. He stated he would check on it.....nothing after 1 hour of waiting, my brother decided to give up. About an hour and half after the food was ordered the steak arrived. I told them to take it back and I didn't want it at that point.
