"Excellent hotel and awesome staff"
The hotel had great amenities-free wireless, business center, water bottle filling station. Attached bar and restaurant had great apple martinis. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Most of all the staff were amazing and helped me find my way around the city and using the subway.

"Still a Grand Hotel, but a few signs of slippage"
We returned happily to the Carlyle after a couple of years. Our only tiny complaint was that, with only 4 elevators to cover the 30 floors, it is an unfortunate economy to have never more than two lift operators on duty, and sometimes only one. Either have them all running or let the guests operate them themselves! For what we thought of as a top-grade room, the bathroom in 924 was not as large as we would have liked. Otherwise, we would definitely return and recommend to friends.

"Quiet neighborhood"
Spent 4 days at hotel while in town for college volleyball match at LIU. Easy walk to campus. We booked a suite and it was spacious and clean. Easy access to subway around the corner. As with most of Brooklyn and NYC, there is construction everywhere. Did not experience any noise disturbance issues. This hotel is only 4ish years old. Rooms are quiet and did not hear the street on the 6th floor. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
