“Very inconvenient location”

The hotel was ok, but the location was terrible. We had stories each night we had to go back to New Jersey (bus was either too early, too full, angry taxi drivers, etc). For the same price and even less, you can get something easily in Long Island City with shuttles.

“Good quality for price”

Clean room; decent amenities, friendly and courteous service. I would say that this hotel lives up to advertised expectations. It's nothing fancy, but neither is the price (especially in comparison to local competitors).

Nightlife

Returning from Manhatten by 633 or 634 bus is limited by the schedule to 11 pm on weekdays and 1 am on weeekends, taxi will cost $70.

“Very Good one... Easy to reach New York..”

Nice and good. Easy access to bus and just 15mins to Port Authority bus terminal. Had great time.

“Very nice & clean!”

The hotel & the staff were very nice & clean. The free breakfast was wonderful. It was difficult getting into the city because it seemed that every bus that came by was full & left us but that is nothing to do with the hotel itself. Very happy & satisfied with the hotel.

“A very good hotel!”

It's a very good hotel. Highly recommendable. Breakfast is fresh and varied. Good and friendly staff. It's only some minutes from Manhattan and it's easy to reach. Clean and very comfortable rooms. I would definetely stay here again!!

“Weird hard-to-get-to location”

This hotel is listed in the "Meadowlands" area, which it technically is, but getting there was a real adventure! Service roads, one way roads, no convenient way to turn into hotel parking lot, no convenient or direct way to get back on the highway when leaving. Rooms were nice. We had a refrigerator, microwave, and separate sink and counter area. Some plastic bowls & utensils in the cupboard. The king bed in our room was hard and uncomfortable. Front desk was wonderful about it and cheerfully gave us plenty of extra pillows to ease the pain! Housekeeping staff was also wonderful, giving us extra coffee and tea, etc. Very nice people all around. Breakfast was ok but extremely crowded; people were sharing tables with stangers & still there was nowhere at all to sit.

Area recommendations

We like the Meadowlands area. Close to New York City without the NYC prices. If no traffic, we could get from a hotel in this area through the Lincoln Tunnel and parked at the Port Authority bus terminal in Manhattan in less than 1/2 hour. The trick of course is missing the traffic jams but we've planned ahead & been pretty lucky.
