One Night Stopover

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: The included buffet breakfast was awesome.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to the airport but that's all. Nothing in the immediate vicinity. The hotel provides several menus from restaurants which will deliver
As I was travelling with a bike and only had 24 hours in New York I decided to stay close to the airport. With the benefit of hindsight I probably should have stayed in the city as it took 1.5 hours by cab to get there from the hotel. If you weren't planning to go sightseeing it would be fine.

Convenient but noisy

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Handy for JFK
Cons: Better soundproofing
Location: Get to the airport - pronto
This hotel is extremely handy for JFK and it has all the hallmarks of a standard Holiday Inn. Our room was pretty noisy due to its proximity to the road and road traffic.

Shuttle goes to JFK only once an hour. The windows do a good job of keeping out the highway noise. Breakfast was barely adequate.

Not so close to JFK

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: The night-time food options should be better.
Location: Not as close to JFK as promised. Couldn't even go for a walk.
The hotel was a 15 minute cab ride for JFK a arrivals in a dirty industrial area. I arrived at about 10pm, but no 'real food' available either at hotel or nearby. The room smelled musty, but at least I could open my window - to traffic noise and smells. Breakfast was OK.

Close and convenient to JFK.

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Easy location. No stress to get to the airport in time for an early flight.
Location: Nothing to do in the immediate surrounding area. Location very good for travelers.
The hotel was conveniently close to JFK airport. The shuttle bus dropped me at the the desired terminal. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My room was, luckily, at the end of the passage, 425, otherwise the constant movement of people arriving late and leaving early could be very disruptive. I took a cab into Manhattan and even though the traffic was very busy it was not inconvenient. I would stay here again.

Decent hotel at JFK at a good price.

This is a perfect hotel for a quick stay at JFK. It is clean, friendly and the price is pretty good. The breakfast is quite basic and there is no restaurant so bring your own food or order take out. The reception kindly provided me with local take away menus. There is a 24 hour shuttle service to JFK and reception is happy to book taxis as necessary. Overall an excellent place to stay if you are passing through JFK and are looking for clean, basic accommodation without frills.
