“Nice Location”
When originally planning our trip, my wife and I would have preferred a location closer to the theatre district but we were willing to sacrifice location for price for a weekend visit to NYC. When all said and done it was a less congested area that is handy to some tourist attracttions. South Street Seaport, NYSE and the 9-11 Memorial are a short walk from the hotel. In addition, the "red line" subway station that quickly gets one uptown to Penn Station was a two minute walk from the hotel. The hotel was for the most part met our expectations. While the bathroom and the room were well maintained and clean it seems that the staff has a shortage or lack of vacuums. Our carpet wasn't freshly vacuumed and did not improve after our room was serviced each day during our three night stay. The hotel serves a free breakfast which was maintained nicely. The food was typical of what one finds at hotels such as the Hampton Inn that offer complimentary breakfast. The hotel was what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. I could perhaps justify ranking the hotel an extremely satisfied level if our room had been vacuumed well. Nevertheless, for the price and a location that ended up being fine I would recommend.
“Nice and unexpected”
Hotel was nice and clean. Parking is $30/day and they has continental breakfast included with your stay that is very good. Rooms are small, but that's expected inNY I'd def recommend and go back.
“NYC hotel by Wall St.”
Hotel is very conveniently located right by Wall St. and the historical area of NYC. Everything is within walking distance. Breakfast was as expected for a Holiday Inn so no surprises. Warm and ample in a clean environment. Small rooms as all NYC hotels but clean and up to date. Refrigerator and microwave in room worked well. Flat panel TV also good.
“Worth a stop.”
Look for special pricing.
“Nothing special but everything fine”
A quirky architecture--an elevator shaft 27 stories high surrounded by 4 rooms on each floor--but it gets the job done. Everything works and it all looks new and crisp. Rooms are small but chock full of all the necessities. I was alone in a single king bed room, and it was just fine. It would have been crowded with two people, though, especially the bathroom, which is no bigger than the door swing. There's a self-service deli cafe on one side and a Subway sandwich shop on the other, fine for a quick lunch or late snack. Not really in a restaurant zone, but definitely a short, quick walk to the whole Financial District.
“Perfect place for a couple with a low budget”
Very good location, only 2 blocks from Wall Street subway station. Close to Brooklyn Bridge. At night is really quite and safe. Room is clean. Staff is really nice there and breakfast is no more than what it needs to be! The only thing was the soft drink vending machine that was not working....who cares! you can find a 24hr mini market right across the street, and for sure it's fixed already. I strongly recommend this hotel.
“A Very Good Hotel in the NY Financial District”
A very convenient location, near the Fulton Seaport, and walking distance to the major sites in South Manhattan. I will always want to go back to this hotel, for its good location and small size. The staf were great, and the services and cleanliness were superb.
“Great location & reasonably priced”
Location is great - right on Wall St, 2 blocks from the South St Seaport TKTS location and conveniently located near the subway. On a major street so no problem getting cabs and finding delis, mini-marts, liquor, etc. Walking distance to all the major sites down on that end - Battery Park, Ground Zero, etc. Great brunch places on Stone ST a few blocks from the hotel. Overall a good value for the hotel itself as it comes with free breakfast & wi-fi. Room was decent - obviously small, but it's NYC so we knew what to expect. Room had a bit of wear & tear, but was clean and comfortable. Met our needs as we weren't planning on spending much time in the room anyway! Bed was comfortable with ample pillows & the usual amenities one expects in a hotel room. We'd stay here again.
“Not perfect, but what every is.”
Let's face it. It's a glittering, new facility. The rooms are clean and new, and the maintenance staff keeps them that way. The front desk, I'm not so sure about. I had booked the room over a month in advance, requesting a 2-double bed, non-smoking room. What I ended up with was a 1-king bed, non-smoking room. I was, shall we say, livid. The front desk staff shrugged her shoulders and said "Sorry, all the double rooms are booked this weekend". I think they could do better than that if they were paying attention. So a C- for attention to detail.
“Overall good Near Metro”
I was there with a group of 12 people, good location 10 minutes walking from metro, free wifi and coffee, kind staff.
