The hotel is a plus for location and staff.

Small, non luxury hotel. Great staff and location. Free breakfast pretty good. For those on a budget, this is a perfect place to stay.

Nice hotel, good rate

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Clean, close to Ground Zero, Battery Park, and the subway station
Cons: The breakfast are was very small
Location: Ground Zero, Battery Park, short subway ride to Times Square and Yankee Stadium
Everything went very well, my only comment would be that the breakfast area is very small for such a busy hotel.

Great location away from midtown!

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Location!
Cons: It desperately needs more shelf space in the bathroom. No place at all to set down toiletries.
Location: Superb access to the subway. Waterfront walking nearby. And cosy restaurants, too.
Terrific part of the city to explore. Between the live music and walking near the East River...it's a real treasure for those who hate the Time Square crowds.

Great hotel, great location.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Breakfast. Super comfy beds.
We like being downtown because there are less people, but we are still close to a subway stop. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast is one of the best. This is our 3rd trip and we keep coming back to the Holiday Inn Express, Wall Street.

First time staying in Wall St. Area.

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Staff very competent--good source information getting around. convenient breakfast with more than just sugar laden treats to offer.
Location: nice walk down by East River, Wall St. area attractions outside the door.
hotel packs everything needed into compact, comfortable package. Great location for business meetings, easy access uptown via subway or water taxi. or regular taxi. slightly away from mid-town hustle/bustle = perfect location.

Perfect location for US history vacation

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Location, breakfast - food and the worker Sonia, size, amenities
Cons: Ventilation from outside. Was a problem only 1/5 nights - it smelled like someone was smoking in our room.
Location: Within walking distance to the Ferry to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty, 9/11 museum, Fraunces Tavern museum, Southport Sea Museum, Brooklyn Bridge
Spent 5 nights with our primary focus on US history (although did take the subway for a few activities in Midtown and Central Park areas). Within in walking distances to many US history activities and fairly close to subways that had express routes taking only 10 minutes to get to northern Midtown area. Fantastic location for the things we wanted to see. Was a bit noisy (outside) some nights but that is somewhat expected going to NYC. We started each day with breakfast (included) which was convenient and great way to start the day. Sonia worked in the breakfast area 3/5 AM that we were there. I've never stayed at a hotel that had someone work in the breakfast area that loved there job so much and was highly efficient getting tables cleaned as soon as someone was done, keeping the food supply good, anticipating the customers needs and helping readily. Front desk staff was also friendly and helpful.

A good experience

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The wet room.
Location: Handy for Wall Street, Freedom Tower, ferries to Staten Island, Staue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the walk over the Brooklyn Bridge.
After an unpromising start caused by faulty plumbing in my allocated room, which Jose quickly sorted out, the stay was relaxing. The only downside, to my European eyes, was the large size of the tiled wet room which got wet in places it shouldn't- a cublicled shower would be much better. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel's location means that the attractions of Times Square, Broadway (Theatre area) and Central Park are about a 20 mins relatively cheap subway ride away but the waterfront with its ferries to Staten Island and the Statue of Liberty is close by.

Location and staff

Pros: Location and staff attitude
Cons: I know that this cannot be changed but the rooms are quite small.
Location: Shopping and site seeing.
I came for a workshop on Wall St so the location was very convenient for that and shopping. IMy room was very claen and I also found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful.
