We stayed there for 5 nights and enjoy it. The staff were always polite and helpful and anything we requested arrived quickly. We had a deluxe room which was a great size and easily accommodates to adults and all their stuff. The convenience is great. 2 blocks away from Columbus circle which is great links to pretty much all of the island. Hudson river is at the bottom of the road.

Close to Times Square

Love that the hotel was walking distance from Times Square. The bathroom was a litte outdated. Would have been nice to have a continental breakfast.

Mid town NY

I would not recommed this location. Very small room and no air conditioners. The bathroom had no working space. The people at the location were very unfriendly. Do not stay at this location!!!!

Outdated and Unimpressive

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The decor, and the hospitality
Location: decent
I had issues with this hotel from the minute we got in there. We were greeted by the Front Desk who told us that their computers were down and they didn't have any ETA on when they'd be back up or when we could check into our rooms. Upon expressing our concern that we needed the hotel room for getting ready for an event we were attending, we were told that we could use the public restroom. What?! I expressed my concerns and finally got a clerk to manually get us into our rooms. We were not offered anything for inconvenience; not a drink at the bar or anything. Just "I'm sorry." When we finally got our room keys, we ventured to our floor. The elevator buttons were broken, the decor was old, and when we got into our room, the toilet wouldn't flush properly and faucets were hard to turn on. We had very loud guests who kept slamming doors on our floor throughout the night. We weren't called to be checked in on - no hospitality at this hotel whatsoever. Will not return. I've stayed at Holiday Inn in NYC near Wall Street and at Herald Square and both were TONS better than this one. Low price is not worth it!

Pros: Comfortable bed, nice linens. BIG room.
Cons: You'll get familiar with your neighbors' bathroom habits. And please ask the housekeeping staff to not use the elevators during peak periods.
Location: A tiny bit out of the way, but only a 5 minute walk to Broadway and 57th.
Perfectly acceptable hotel, and reasonably good value. But very noisy plumbing, and insufficient elevators for the number of rooms. The wifi may be free, but it's so slow it's unusable. I'd rather pay $10. Not suitable for business travelers.

Convenient for sightseeing

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and the sightseeing and theater options they suggested.
Cons: Perhaps a bit better soundproofing from the traffic noise. We were on the front of the building.
Location: The location is great. Within walking distance of Times Sq, Theatreland and Central park.
I and three other Grannies had a three night stay in NYC. This hotel was perfectly placed for transport connections. The hotel staff, particularly Domingo on the information desk were all really helpful. Wanda was great too. The bell hops got us taxis when required and the bar staff were happy and welcoming. We didn't really see the room staff but they did a great job. It was all great value for money. Also the breakfast choice was huge and set us up until dinnertime.

NYC 2014

Pros: the overall space of the hotel, in the lobby plenty of seating and especially in the rooms. the beds were also comfortable.
Cons: fix the heavy room door in the morning all the doors slamming was unpleasant.
Location: between Central Park and Times Square. I was able to take a walk to Milk Bar for their delicious treats nearby.
I liked that the hotel is still very close to everything but away from the main action of the taxis and trucks.
