Affordable and Convenient

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Overall we had a great stay! The hotel was inexpensive, clean, friendly staff, and very nearby subways were accessable to all areas we wanted to go to in Manhattan. My only gripe was they didn't replace toiletries each night but that is minimal. Would definitely stay again!!

Port in a Storm (or at least in freezing condition

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: It was clean, staff was super friendly, and it was close to where we had to be the next morning!
Cons: No anything really.
Location: What can I say, we were in the Wall Street area to visit Pace University. The subway was close by and we could go anywhere in the city. Perfect loca
I love Holiday Inns. We know what to expect when we get there. We had an early call at Pace and the weather was so cold, we decided to stay in the city. I booked this Holiday In at 3:00pm and our room was ready when we arrived. It was perfect. We alo we som happy that we got the "breakfast included" option. Place was clean, food was good...what else can you ask for....

Close to Wall Street

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Location It was very close to Trinity Wall Street where we were attending a conference. Easy walking distance to the subway and to Broadway for cabs.
Cons: The restaurant breakfast menu could have some offerings for vegans/vegetarians and lactose intolerant customers.
Location: Walking distance to a lot of Lower Manhattan, including Wall Street, Ground Zero or a subway ride to Brooklyn Bridge, City Hall, etc.
The rooms are very small but a good value for the price. The staff was helpful in giving us information and directions about the area. The restaurant does not carry soy milk. The pancakes were slightly burned. Families or groups should be aware that the rooms may be cramped.

Its close to almost all touristic attractions but the rooms are small and dull. The hotel is clean and staff is friendly. They dont have a variety of food.

An episode of 'Fawlty Towers'....what a disaster

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: No and training of sfaff. Dont put one person the desk and not give them the authority to make decisions. Dont use rooms that back on to an Equip Room
Location: Statue of Liberty Century 21 (shopping)
Booked this hotel for an overnight stay on way back home and we had planned to do the Statue of Liberty tour (so chose hotel largely for location) next morning before our long flights home. On arrival we walked into what must be the smallest hotel lobby I have ever seen. Only one staff member dealing with check ins (and everything else). After a longish wait (and even longer discussion about whether we do have kangaroos bouncing down streets in Oz) we were finally checked into our double double room (2 adults and 2 kids). If we were surprised about size of lobby, we were gobsmacked by size of room...which could barely hold 4 people and 4 suitcases. Even worse was that the room shared a wall with the 'Equipment Room' which given the noise actually made the beds vibrate. After another trip down to the single staff member on reception and a 20 min wait while she checked in every new guest that walked through the door.....we finally got another room 2 doors from the Equipment Room (at least the beds didnt vibrate). After a restless night, we checkd out next morning and tried to organise a ride to the airport. Given the size of our party the hotel offered us a car service for the princely sum of $120 (cab ride to JFK is published as between $52 - $70). We booked our own van and to really rub in tbe poor service the Hotel told the van driver to take 2 people and meant we had to arrange another ride (after an anxious 40 min wait). So in sum, tiny hotel, good location, lousy service.

Hotel is in the NY Ffinancial District

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: The location is convenient and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.
Cons: The hotel restaurant was sub-par. However there are many other options readily available nearby.
Location: The hotel is in the Financial District very close to the Federal Reserve and Stock Exchange.
This hotel is comfortable and the rooms are clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and accomodating. When we had to add an additional day to our stay, we received the same rate as we got with our advance booking.

gute Lage für Städtetrip

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: Lage, Ausstattung, Preis/Leistung

The room was lovely and clean. The bathroom was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. The area has plenty of shops and places to eat. The hotel restaurant was fabulous. Kids eat free along with the purchase of an adult entree. The staff throughout was very friendly and helpful. My daughter and I loved our stay.
